Got these because my 7 yo grandson wanted to play hockey in the basement. Did this for about 6 mos w my baseball glove and a small goalie stick. Not a big deal but since he has gotten better my shins were getting beat up and these are a great inexpensive way to save them. They are a pain to initially assemble and put on but after a couple uses everything becomes simple. Very happy w purchase

I use these in a pretty low-level mens ice hockey league. A slap shot in the shin will leave a bruise, but they’re so comfortable and so slim and so light that I’m ok with the trade off.

The ones i received were not what was pictured. They were a different model. They had white padding instead of black, and an extended protector on the ankle that dug into the top of the foot. They also didnt have straps with it. Wtf?!!

Get the large if you are an adult, even a smaller adult. I'm only 5'2 and the large are good for me. You can always trim some off the bottom if it's jabbing into your ankle. They do tend to rotate a bit when I play, even with shin tape. So I do have to fuss with them sometimes. They don't last forever but they are cheap enough to replace occasionally. My last pair lasted at least a year and that's with league play 2-3 times a week and tournaments every couple of months. Leave yourself plenty of time to set the straps up for the first time. They are a pain in the butt to set up but easy after that. Wish Mylec sold replacement straps separately since they are easy to lose but once you're on your second pair it's not an issue, provided you take the straps off your old pair before chucking them. FYI, Mylec has a new dek hockey shinguard out that is pretty fancy (and costs twice as much), you can't really find them online yet but check the shop at your local rink. They look really nice if you want a step up from these basic ones.

These are great! I have been playing dek hockey for about 10 years now and these are by far my favorite shin gards that I have had. They are very light weight and offer a good level of protection. My girlfriend are both about 5'8 and We both have the large 15' inch size shin gaurds. I would recommend you buy the larges !Great product for hockey players of any age / skill levelYes I would highly recommend !
