I remember using these when I was younger playing street hockey almost every day. I bought these and they seem like the same quality that we put through hell every week. Now I'm getting my son into street hockey and hope his friends will have as much fun as we did.

(27”) As a College student 5’6 these pads worked great. The league of floor hockey that I play in used pads a bit too long for me.Great for floor hockey, wouldn’t recommend as strongly on roller blades as the lack of a sliding surface makes it hard to move from post to post

Terrible quality. Pads ripped right at the bend of the knee. First pair lasted maybe 10 uses and was given a replacement at no charge because it was still within replacement period. Season ended and new ones lasted no more than 20 uses and now I can’t get them replaced.

They work great considering the price and other options out there for street hockey goalie pads below $100.Pros:Hard plastic allows for easy sliding on asphalt surfaceLightweightCons:Straps can be tricky and painful unless wearing pants under padsTend to break at above the knee after 6-12 gamesIn two sets of these pads I have used they both have broke at the point just below the top section into the knee area. This causes the top part to flap and expose the foam padding underneath. This is where duct tape comes to use! It seems that after moderate use and pressure from going down flat to the ground, the plastic is stressed too much and breaks at this point. I hope to add an image of this so you can see in detail. If you look at the pad straight on, this is the bottom part of that top, rectangular section which has broke off and flaps from the middle area. You can play with it flapping, but it can adn will catch your arm and stick as you get in positioning through play. Duct tape, duct tape, duct tape! You can make it work and it is still worth the price. However, if a better hard plastic pad (for sliding) option comes along around the same or slightly more cost, I will consider it.The plastic straps do require one to pull them very tight so they fit snug and don't slide off when dropping to the ground and/or butterfly position and more importantly, the metal buckles can dig into your skin. This is why I do not advise use against raw skin. I have done this on occasion, it will leave marks and be a bit of a pain, but I tough it out. I would suggest wearing some sort of pants and you will be fine.Again, all being said, these are the best considering the price. There are other pads that are more pricy, a little heavier, and not as slide friendly as these for asphalt surfaces.I hope this helps anyone considering these pads.

These pads are unbelievable for the price. The pads work amazing on streets. One downside though is that is a little more difficult to keep the pads straight when playing roller hockey. I got the 32 inch pads because I'm 5 10 and they are huge so I recommend the 28 inches to anyone below 5 11 or 6 ft

The pads were good but after being used two times the part just above the knee broke. It's still usable though.

ive had these pads for aout 3 years and they have just recently started to go, im very happy with this product and it is the best choice for street hockey goalies, i have a game every week and they have lasted me so long. gunna ride them out till the end and then order a new pair! dont listen to the bad reviews, they must have used them the wrong way!

I'm almost 40, and these goalie pads are exactly as I remember from my childhood. Hard plastic fronts - great for sliding across the driveway to make that big save. Foam insides are comfortable. Plastic straps to keep them on. I would think they'd have switched to velcro for the straps by now.My 5 year-old son just got the Small-sized pads. They're a bit big on him, but they work. He absolutely loves them!!
