I saw some poor reviews and was hesitant to order, but liked the look of it so decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. I love how it looks in my bedroom. It was a little challenging to put together, but not terrible. You just have to realize the shelves have to be on kind of a slant in order to sit straight when the ladder is leaning. (You’ll understand it when you see the screw holes. All in all a nice buy!

The coloring of this is really nice, but other than that, it is really quite cheaply made. Three of the "rungs" of the ladder are exactly the same size, with the fourth smaller at the top. It doesn't really look like a "ladder". It lacks stability and was not easy to put together. While there are instructions in the box, the pieces are not marked, so you just have to do a lot of guessing and patiently try to match up holes. I became very frustrated when it was apparent that it just was not going to be sturdy and that it was not going to align with the wall. Bummer.

The instructions do not show any size difference in the shelf size so it is not completely clear which end the small shelf should go. There is a lot of guess work. It’s not too hard but I did have to take it apart to rearrange the leg posts. Ware gloves because the wood is very splintered.
