The "Awgem Multi-Function Transistor Tester with LED Display, Optocoupler Tester, Dual USB/Battery Power Supply..." I received didn't impress me.I think this tester has potential, however, the red LED on status alone is barely visible. I had a fussy time placing transistors on the on-board pcb holes to test. The green light did come on when testing various components, but that green light occasionally came on when only having two out of three leads on their perspective contacts.This tester could be improved by having a better means to make contact with small semiconductors. I get that less is more making it affordable, but too little isn't better imo.The photo optocoupler part appears to work, although I get the impression it may throw false "good" indication under the right circumstances. There were a couple times when I didn't have a good contact on an optocoupler yet it sgowed good.It charges up fairly fast- yes, no battery, rather a rechargeable cell which helps.I wanted to like this tester. I just don't like how the device is set up for components to make contact. If the manufacturer would consider adding some better contacts forntesting components, a polarity LED indicator, and a spot to plug in test leads, it might be worthy of consideration. This version however is just not quite ready for release imho.
