When I initially received this item, the foam insert was not included. After fileing a claim I had a correct replacement the next day. Other than the hassle of having to drop the return off at FedEx this situation went exactly how proper customer service should. Also, the case is great. Excellent storage for pistol magazines.

Sure you can fit more magazines in an empty case, but the foam insert in this case will keep them from banging all over the place when it's in the back of your buddie's truck and he's bombing down the dirt road to get to the outdoor range.I really enjoy taking this to the range with me since it keeps the mags protected and organized thanks to the insert. I also have the MTM AC4C 4-Can Ammo Crate and this is the same size as their 30 cal ammo box so it fits into the carrier on that perfectly.I like to put all my loaded Glock 19 mags facing one way and when they're empty I turn them the opposite way so it's pretty easy to tell at a quick glance which are loaded/unloaded.

MTM does a great job of all their storage items, and this is no different. I got many of these mag boxes and the one for the 1911 magazines are about the smallest they make and work well for the job. The container has cut out foam inserts for the magazines to sit in, and they secure them well. These store with a latch and a locking tab, and you can stack them for easy storage.

I love this case! But my double stack mags fit very loose in the slots, more than I expected (XD 9 Mod 2, 4" Service Model). I bought some fresh mags to put in there, and cut the plastic packaging the mags came in to cushion the gap between the mags, and the foam insert. Otherwise the mags will slide up and down hitting the top of the box when the box jostled around. I would have preferred that I could tip the box completely upside down with the lid open, and not one mag would fall out. I will probably get around to creating a more permanent fix for that soon! Overall a great product Idea, now I just have to personalize it and make the foam that much tighter around the mags. No biggie as I got such a great deal a few years back, I bought two for less than the price of a single currently priced one now. Currently the design is not Ideal for keeping noise down, which I like to do cause I'm a ninja! lol

Sure, it's not a ton of mags IF you have a large collection. But, for a range day, grab a few faves and keep them separated for identification and load readiness. These, like the others, are a great fit to most DS magazines. Nothing is flopping arouns and I even put LIKE mags stackes around them, IF needed.I have them in most calibers and each box is priceless to me. Paired with the multi can rack, that allows yiu to stack multiples. I use for quick acces to all calibers, bybwriting the load typ on the front by opening latch.Yiu can carry a decent amount, rather than a 50 or 30 cal can that full of ammunition, will cause yiu problems if you lad them loose, to the top. it makes it so much easier, to know and prepare your usage, while keeping yiyr items secured and organized.A good hack: throw all of those little silica packs you get in accessories and clothes into these, and minimize humidity for your preloaded sticks. You won't be sorry. These are a must have for us.

I love these MTM magazine cans. I have them for both AR mags and pistol mags and i also have the 3 up pistol case. They are good quality cans and the foam is not the soft garbage foam that packs out after a few months. They are stack-able which is nice for storage and they have a rubber gasket seal in the lid to keep out the moisture. The price is great too.

Awesome product, fits my Beretta APX mags without issue. All I did was ad about a 1" piece of foam at the bottom for some cushion, other than that I own several versions and continue to add to the stable. Made in the U.S.A.

Very nice option for sorting/securing your pistol magazines with points to attach a padlock. As an added bonus, it pairs quite nicely with the MTM AC4C Ammo Crate. You can have your ammo and mags sorted nicely in one package.

My first was delivered today, and I plan to purchase more.It's a good quality box, perfect sized foam slots well laid out, BUT, the bottom of the slots needs padding.I cut up some a closed cell foam sheet I had lying around and put a thin plug at the bottom of each slot.Without this, you have 10 loaded magazines sitting on their heads on the unpadded bottom of the can.Which I think is a less than ideal situation.That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.Someone mentioned concerns about moisture, and these have a nice seal, but I still dropped a small packet of silica dessicant into it as my extra insurance to protect anything I put my own sweat into cleaning or maintaining.
