I thought it would be harder to notice in real life that it wasn't embroidered, but instead was printed, but that's not what is making me regret my purchase as much as the patch doesn't have white spots and dirty spots, it's just one solid beige color so it doesn't look like real life wear and tear where there are clean spots, dirty spots and then really dirty spots. In the seller's defense, when a photo is taken it doesn't show these details which is why I've included 3 photos, a scan from a scanner, the amazon listing itself, and a photo from my camera. In reality it's more of a combination of the scanner and the photo image I took combined where it's just one solid background color with dirt spots, so it doesn't look like the patch started out as white, and then got dirty, it looks like it started out as beige. The camera picks up on the granularity more than is actually visible by the human eye. Whoever designed the patch did a fine job, but may not have realized the subtleties of the whites while visible on the computer screen, would not translate to being visible to the human eye.Am I being overly fussy on a 7 dollar patch? Absolutely! But I figured I'd save other fussy people like me who are in the same boat to opt for the actual embroidered versions that can be found on amazon.

Seems to be well made. This is fabric that has been printed on (fused? i assume sublimation) and then attached to a sheet of Velcro by the stitching around the edges. It also came with the opposite side of the Velcro so you could sew that onto something if you needed but my backpack already had the appropriate Velcro to attach it to. Overall i'm very pleased with my purchase.
