This thing didn’t stop over charging. I tried lowering the settings but it didn’t make a difference. Even when it said batteries were fully charged the volts would keep creeping up. Got up to 15.7v before I unplugged it. Unfortunately I installed it after the return window closed or I would have sent it back.

This is my first time building a solar system. This solar charge controller is amazing. But the instructions are very hard to read. Once you figure out how to program it, It works wonders. I have love it so much I bought 2.

This charge controller goes up to 15 even saw 16 v when the battery is full! It kept shutting off my inverter because of overcurrent. Because it kept fluctuating, the inverter kept turning off and on! Now my refrigerator is damaged. I chose the right battery type, but it keep overcharging.

(Update) No Response or Customer service, i would not buy again........Seems to work great other then the fact i can only get 407watts out of it. My meter says i am 680ish watts and this thing says only 407 or less. volts are always close to the meter but watts are low. i am not sure i would buy another one as i need more than 400watts. i bought this after testing my panels to see how many of these i would need and thats also why i got the parallel one. So i could set up 3 of these. now i am going to have to find something else as one of my panels can do 450watts, so right now i have it on 2 panels and meters says the most i have gotten is 680 watts so this should have worked for 2 pnaels and i wanted to run 6 total. this is not going to work if it can not do more then 400 watts.

This review evaluates the “100A Solar Charge Controller 12V/24V/48V MPPT 100Amp Solar Charge Controller with LCD Display for Parallel Battery Connections” made by TEMANK.What’s in the box: One (1) 100A solar charge controller 12V/24V/48V MPPT 100amp solar charge controller, one (1) battery temperature sensor probe, and an owner’s manual.First impressions: Heavy Duty. Well built. Easy to set up. The unit is really well built with heavy-duty cast aluminum housing that doubles as a huge heat sink. There is an active bladeless turbo fan that can also assist in keeping the circuitry cool under load. There is a large backlit LCD display that provides you with a comprehensive list of operational parameters and performance measures. The unit has all the built-in electronic safety circuitry that you would expect and require such as over-voltage, low voltage, overload, short circuit, and overheating protection. The controller is compatible with a variety of 12/24/36/48V batteries including conventional flooded lead-acid, lithium (LiFePO4 and Lithium-Ion), and AGM batteries. There's no CSA/UL/ETL safety certification for North American use and user beware there is legislation in some jurisdictions that disallow such uncertified products from being sold and used. While I understand that it is common practice in overseas products in this price range for manufacturers to cut costs, certifications are there for user safety to prevent electrocutions or fires from malfunctioning products. How did this unit perform? In one word AWESOME. I bought this unit to regulate the charging of by batteries for my inverter to distribute clean power for my small off-grid hunting cabin. I run a four 500W panel solar panel system that charges four (4) 12V/250Ah lead-carbon batteries that distribute power from a 2,000W inverter. With this system, I can run simple LED lights, a large fridge/freezer, an LED TV, StarLink internet, and charge my small electrical devices like a cellphone and laptop. This charge controller ensures the safe charging of my batteries and protects my set-up from overcharging or electrical spikes. It is nice to have clean, consistent power and not run a generator if you don’t have to, especially in nature!I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To verify the durability of this product and its effective service life, I am going to monitor this product and its performance over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am extremely satisfied with the product; it is built heavy-duty, professional-grade, and does the job it is supposed to do. At a current price of $259.99, I feel that this product is priced fairly for the quality and functionality delivered. In summary: the “100A Solar Charge Controller 12V/24V/48V MPPT 100Amp Solar Charge Controller with LCD Display for Parallel Battery Connections” made by TEMANK is heavy-duty and well-made. The money is in the quality circuitry that properly regulates the charging of your battery storage array. Long-term testing is required to verify effective service life, however, I believe that this unit is built to last. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros 👍:✔ Heavy-duty, commercial grade.✔ Well-made and built to last.✔ All aluminum housing with a large incorporated heat sink on the back.✔ Additional cooling is available from an onboard bladeless turbofan.✔ Easy and quick to set up.✔ Easy to read, comprehensive, backlit LCD display.✔ Compatible with a variety of 12/24/36/48V batteries including conventional flooded lead-acid, lithium (LiFePO4 and Lithium-Ion), and AGM batteries.✔ Over voltage, low voltage, overload, short circuit, and overheating protection.✔ Programmable absorption voltage/float voltage/low voltage cutoff/load timer.✔ Wired battery thermo probe included.✔ Good performance.✔ Excellent price point and good value.Cons👎:✘ Not CSA/UL/ETL safety certification for North American use.

--- The Good ---Detected the panel voltage, and directed it's wattage to chargingDisplayed the battery's output voltage (charge level)--- The Bad ---No complaints--- Bottom Line ---I only have a single 24V-220W panel I bought 10 years ago to test with. It has degraded down to 170W. Given all the complaints, it's important for me to note that this may very well have problems under high load. It's overkill and over priced for a single panel (I've been using a $30 charge controller I bought 10 years ago that only works with SLA), and the 5 star reviews aren't what I'd call credible.I have no complaints using it for the single panel, but I can't speak to using it for a full roof. Thankfully, it's returnable and swapping the charge controller is extremely quick (assuming you have appropriate disconnects, not shown in the diagram for this controller; if you're trying to DIY I recommend reading some of the solar textbooks by Global Sustainable Energy Solutions, or even taking their course).

I’ve been setting up solar in my camper, and getting a good charge controller is key to making sure everything runs smoothly. I went with this 100A MPPT charge controller, and it’s been doing a solid job so far. What sets this one apart is how it adjusts the power coming from the solar panels to get the most efficient charge for the batteries. It’s way more efficient than some of the simpler, cheaper options out there, which is great because I want to make sure my setup is as reliable as possible. One thing I’ve noticed is that this controller charges at a higher voltage compared to my old one. This isn’t a huge deal, but it’s something to keep an eye on, especially if you’re using lithium batteries like I am. It does mean the batteries charge faster during bulk storage, but I’ve had to make sure I’m monitoring things to avoid any overcharging issues. The controller also has a pretty advanced cooling system with both passive and active cooling, which is awesome for keeping everything running smoothly, even when it’s hot outside.Overall, I’m pretty happy with this controller. It’s definitely built for larger setups or if you’re planning to expand your solar system down the line. It feels sturdy, the display is easy to read, and the setup was straightforward. Just keep in mind the higher charging voltage, but other than that, it’s a great option if you’re serious about getting the most out of your solar setup.

I really like the PowMr (Mister Pow?) equipment. This one is typical; the manual is clear and complete written in good english; the unit uses a good size heat sink and is well connected; the specifications are very complete. I am an electrical engineer and I appreciate the details like having a user programmable mode to set the charging parameters manually. I am using this on a mobile system where I will be swapping out the pv panels depending on the environment. I was delighted to discover in the online manual at PowMr's website that I can use this on both a 12V or a 24V system with the 24V allowing for double the power. The configuration is a bit obtuse so the manual is very necessary but with the manual posted in a PDF I can email it to myself and I will never lose it.

I tested this with 400W of solar (Two 200W solar panels, wired in parallel, statically mounted facing south at a 15-20 degree angle, 10Ah, 20V each.).I used this to charge a duel 12.8V, 100Ah battery bank (2,500W total). This Controller was wired in line with solar circuit breakers as well.I used the battery bank to run my electric cement mixer to mix 84 bags of concrete, and to run lights and power tools in a remote location where I couldn't get power.I mixed the concrete in 2 stages, 42 bags at a time. This charge controller recharged the battery bank from about 40% to full power in less than a day. Iused it to recharge over the course of 2 weekends and had 0 issue out of this controller. My only minor gripe is that the setting for LiFiPO4 is a little confusing. I set mine to L04 to recharge my battery bank and had 0 issues. This unit has multiple different settings to recharge Lithium batteries and it isn't very clear on what each setting is supposed to do, so like I said, I just used the L04 setting. The terminals were well built and were able to very securely hold 10Awg solar wire. I like how the terminals have a cover to prevent obstructions from getting into the access holes. The chassis appears to be well built, the unit never got warm or hot, I ran this unit outside in 80F-90F degree heat and it had 0 issues with it.Great unit, considering most other MPPT in this Amp range are well over $100-$200, the unit was easy to install, more or less straight forward design, and worked as designed, I give it 5 stars!
