My son said it's a good kit. He's tecky so I got his approval. Great set up for YouTube or other media.

As far as the quality of everything goes it is good enough and some even great. The headsets provide good playback audio and I would say that they aren't bad though I have been spoiled these last few years after buying a really nice headset. They definitely work well and sound better than the headset I had prior to my current one. So they get a pass. The stands are basic, well weighted, and useable though most people might end up swapping those out with arms anyway for easier movement. The also get a pass. The XLR cables are 50/50, thick cables with good length to them however I feel like the connectors themselves could be better quality and I think that is the reason that sometimes they might have sound or connection issues. However they are not bad and they work so these too get a pass. The XLR interface is surprisingly not lacking which is where most of my XLR mic sets I have gotten end up falling short. They are usually really cheap and focus more on bells and whistles that aren't even good than making sure that the unit will provide clean audio or good enough power to the mics. This interface works well, has decent enough power and sound output and isn't extremely cheap feeling so this too gets a pass. Where I really was thrown off and where the whole kit falls short is sadly the most important part, the mics. I could barely hear myself when monitoring in the headphones or in playback. Which at first I naturally thought was the fault of the interface so I disconnected from that and hooked the mic up to my PC through my studio XLR interface. Turned the phantom power on, cranked the gain up to +40 and the output gain to +7 and I STILL had to put my mouth right on the foam just to hear myself clearly. I am talking if you move 3 feet from the mic with all that power and gain you will barely, and sometimes not at all, hear yourself. Which is wild to me. I have never had a mic that required you to physically press your mouth up to it for any amount of pick up. So for me that is a huge fail and the one reason I would let this one go. That being said though you can find some really great XLR mics for decent prices now days both MAONO and FiFine have XLR mics that won't break the bank and would work well with the rest of this kit. So if you wanted to get this for the simple fact that it is a complete setup for less than 800 dollars I would say go for it and swap the mics. Or if it isn't too out of budget go for 2 RODE NT1s to pair with it. I won't say I don't recommend this kit because it is a good kit at a decent price, but I defintitely do not recommend the mics.

As far as playback is concerned, I had a couple of restarts with this. There was a moment of digital breakup, so I thought it could be a physical issue and switched the mic cables between the included Movo mic, and one of mine, and it went fine after that. Sometimes you also have to just unplug the USB input and plug it back in to make everything like clicks and pops and such go away, and I did it once with this unit. Hope that is not a future habit of this. But overall, besides the mics, the digital interface unit, the "box", is almost on par with Focusrite and other brands like it. This would be like a Ford Mustang and the Focusrite brand would be a Maseratti. Different class. But not bad.The Mics:You really have to work at this to make sweet sound from the mics. No amount of gain on the front of the Movo digital interface, or tweaking up of the system volume on most people's computers are going to be able to pick these mics up completely, so...be ready to eat the mic when you use these. You'll have to physically touch the mic covers with your lips. I'd rather have a mic that I have to cut back/turn down or even pad before I would take a mic you have to eat.Notes:The 48v phantom power gives you a raspy introductory sound, and btw, the dials have some "noise" in them when turning, so that's not a good thing. Means there is dust connecting something in there, or contacts that are too close. A very thin but effective washer made of a PVC composite between contact points in the dials of your buttons will give you effectively smooth turning without any sound at all. This is a suggestion for the seller's manufacturing group.

I’ve been looking to get into podcasting as I’m doing quite a bit of work in AI and want to share my expertise. Also, I play a good amount of games and this set doubles as a great gaming setup. Amazing that everything (almost) comes as a two-pack as well. You’ll get 2 CastMic dynamic XLR microphones, 2 mic arms, 2 studio quality headphones, 1 USB audio interface so you’ll have pretty much you’ll need to get started other than specialty software for podcasting. I love that this setup can stay in place because it’s excellent for me to use for gaming with the mic, mic stands, and headphones. Everyone has said that audio quality has been excellent during all my gaming sessions and the audio quality I’m getting from the headphones is top-notch as well. The audio interface has gain control and zero-latency monitoring so you can dial in the precise sound adjustments to exactly what you want. This set could also be used for singers or musicians to record and practice with as well. In the past I’ve used some good quality equipment, and I believe the quality and functionality rivals that of much more expensive setups. The mic arms are strong and stay in place exactly where I want them. It was a very easy set to put together and I was up and going in around ten minutes. Incredible that it comes with two of everything (except the USB audio interface. Considering how much good quality equipment you get for this price is impressive. Also, I’ve heard about the Movo brand in the past and heard good things about them as well, one of the reasons I purchased this set. Absolutely a strong recommend from me for any musician, YouTuber or YouTuber wanna be, or gamer. Very happy with this complete set so far.
