3D adhesive tank protector provides some nice styling when applied on the rear of your motorcycle gas tank. More importantly, the rubberized surface helps protect the tank from getting scratch by belt buckles or jacket zippers while riding or getting on/off the bike.The protector has 4 separate pieces, allowing you to customize the spacing to fit your tank and give it the best protection.Application is straightforward, but you will get best results if you first clean the tank surface to be sure there is no wax or grime.The protector as laid out is about 8.5 inches by 6 inches, but that can be adjusted by changing the spacing when you apply the pieces to the tank. The pieces are about 1/16 of an inch thick.I got the black one and you can see in the pictures that there is a slight 3D pattern that looks like the surface is carved down a tiny amount. In the photos, these show as a gray pattern, but that only because the protective plastic has yet to be removed. When applied, the grooves are a uniform black.This is a sharp looking tank protector and an inexpensive way to dress us your bike a little, and also protect the tank from scratches (or maybe cover up a few if you failed to take precautions earlier).
