Bought this for my 2008 taurus and it comes with necessary hardware required for installation. You can install it without removing the intake just remove the top brace from strut tower and you can get your hand in there to take off a/c lines and get this out.

OEM parts cheap from Amazon. MY 2006 Mercury Montego has cold A/C once again, due partly to replacing this expansion valve.

Best price, quickly shipped expansion valve that worked great on my 2006 Ford Five Hundred. In my case replacement didn't fix what have to be fixed, since my problem was in a bad compressor, that has to be replaced. Expansion Valve worked great though, so very satisfied with the purchase.
