Very thin but somehow feels heavy.That's ok, because it keep it pressed against you and keeps the coolness close to you. I put it with a cooling mattress pad and it is a big hit!Really nice for those hot summer nights.

I quite like this blanket. Just as a blanket (without regard to the "cooling" part) I'd call it fairly large, medium-light blanket. It's quite soft and comfortable. But what I was most interested in was the "cooling" effect of the material. And on that note, I have to say it's as good as expected (maybe even a little better) though still not a miracle-worker. So if you just want a blanket that stays a little cool, it'll be perfect for you. But if you're really struggling with overheating at night, it's probably not going to be enough on its own.

Due to my wife’s restless sleeping (including frequent hot flashes) and my occasional and very slight snoring, we sleep in separate beds in order to get a good night’s sleep.I got this blanket for me to use in the guest room because I tend to be a hot sleeper that pushes the covers off and pulls them back on. I wasn’t even aware that cooling blankets were a thing (other than the “gauze” type ones) and had no idea what a Q-Max rating was. I fell in love with this blanket the first night I used it.It is silky, light (feels like a silk sheet on you) and gave me a great night’s sleep. I offered it for my wife to try (what a mistake); I did not think she would like it, she is VERY picky about sheets and bedding. She likes it more and more every night and it is now hers. I ordered another one for me and one for my daughter, who also loved the feel of it.We all sleep with ceiling fans over us and the air conditioning is set to 73°-74° in the summer.You dont get chilled by the ceiling fan, but you dont get hot during the night…. It is hard to describe.My wife still kicks this blanket off once in a while because of a hot flash, but told me that it is only a fraction of the amount of times she would kick off our lightest blanket. She is getting many more restful nights than she has in years… just because of this blanket. She tracks her sleep patterns religiously with her Apple Watch and the improvement clear to see.I am sleeping much better than before and was just looking for a more comfortable blanket; I didnt think I would find something that was a game changer.When you pull it out of the box it feels heavy for such a silky blanket, but when you but it on the bed and pull it up over you, it feels light as air.I have a habit of smelling textiles as soon as I pull them out of their packaging because some can have chemical or other smells…. No discernable smell/odor what-so-ever.We love this blanket, it is truly and honestly a game changer.I hope this helps

I love love this blanket, especially during pregnancy. Would make a thoughtful gift for anyone who is pregnant. I cannot use it on nights where I feel cold at all because it seriously is so cool feeling to the touch.

I go from hot to cool all night long. This helps me sleep better. I wasn't expecting the polyester feel but it's fine now. I use it as a bedspread too. Easy to make the bed.

Love the bright orange…didn’t realize it was hang to dry…ugh…..but big problem is it doesn’t even cover sides of twin mattress….note to self…if newer thicker mattress, buy full size if you want more side coverage.
