Didn't come with havok trucks and the grip tape had white lettering on it..The truck bushings don't reboand back to straight, theyre garbage.1 star because the deck is a decent quality blank.

I purchased this kit in the 8.5-inch-wide board. TGM sent the board with 7.5” trucks should be the 149mm trucks at 8.5-inch axles. A legitimate skate shop should know the trucks need to be sized to the board, or else it is dangerous and difficult to ride. When I returned the build your board kit TGM charged me a re-stocking fee for their poor-quality control. I wrote to TGM about the situation, and they never contacted me back. TGM is for money and not skaters.

I’m just a 40 year old guy who wanted a simple board to pump around the local skate park. Not doing any grinds, slides or tricks other than the occasional lame ollie. Board seems fine to me, no obvious defects. I’m 190 lbs 6’2”. Glad to get an affordable complete board that seems like it will suit my needs fine. I long boarded A LOT in college so I do have a decent grip on board/bearing/truck quality. Nothing mind blowing here but great bang for your buck!

Exactly what I was looking for in a first skateboard. Obviously you get what you paid for, but you can ignore the ridiculous reviews by people who skateboard all the time. Obviously they have higher standards and I don't actually know why most of those people would buy this product. But if you or your child is new to skateboarding and want a cheaper board to start on, this is a great product. I also love that it gives you the experience of putting the board together yourself. Found a bunch of youtube videos that helped when putting it together so if you know how to use basic tools you should be fine, but a kid would need help. Otherwise, I am very happy with it. It was easy enough to learn on as an adult and although I buy much more expensive skateboards for my kids who ride all the time, I (as a noob) could not tell the difference. I'm sure after a year or two of skateboarding I will detect the difference between this board and an expensive one, but I wasn't interested in learning and beating up an expensive skateboard, this is great for now. This was actually the 2nd one I bought after the 1st worked out so well.
