The joints are still in good condition. I installed them on a TJ with a 4" lift as an upgrade. Along with other linkage swaps this helped tighten up the feel of the jeep.

A fantastic upgrade for your Jeep Wrangler TJ. This tie rod end is solid, unlike the factory version for the Wrangler. No harder to install than any other tie rod, and has fittings to be greased. A good tie rod for the money.

Used to replace old worn tie rod on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler. It comes bare steel. By some chasis paint or spray on bed liner to protect it. Identical to OE. Went on with no issues. I measured my old one prior to replacement so the steering wheel was not to far off. Makes for quicker adjustment after installing.

Box was very beat up upon arrival, but component and hardware were all there and not damaged. Direct replacement 1999 Jeep Wrangler.

Just Installed This January 2020 on my 98 TJ wrangler. Perfect fit. Feels heavy duty for a stock replacement part. Exactly what I needed for a decent price. Everything feels tight steering wise so far. I will do another review once I get some good drive time on the part and see how it feels in say a year or so.

I grabbed this drag link on a $47 'warehouse' (damaged box) deal. The dust boot, cotter pin, grease zerk and castle nut were missing, but it did come in original (resealed) packaging. Considering it was half off the normal price and WAY less than anywhere else; I can't complain. A pair of universal boots is $4 and I either have the rest of the parts laying around or I can get them just as cheap. Even with that hassle, its still a bargain for a Made in USA Moog suspension component.

I recently purchased a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited, and with plans to lift and bigger tires, I figured making sure the steering was in good shape was important. My existing steering had 3 tie rod boots leaking, as well as one that looked like it was about to explode it was so ballooned out the side. I didn't want to chance anything, so I went ahead and got the following to do the upgraded/refreshed steering:Parts needed for complete drag link/tie rod end replacement:Drag Link DS1430Tie Rod End - ES3096LAdjusting Sleeve - ES2079SI wanted to refresh everything, as well as do the TJ / XJ tie rod upgrade, so I got these as well:Tie Rod End - ES3096LAdjusting Sleeve - ES2079STie Rod - DS1312Since I was replacing all of the parts, I removed the old stuff as one assembly, and after setting my new parts to the same length, chucked it in the metal bin at the dump. The new tie rod is much beefier than the original, as it's a solid piece as well as being thicker. Installed just like the originals, and then I did a quick measuring tape alignment to get it good enough to get to the shop for a real alignment. Steering is nice and tight now, and I know the extra beef will serve my larger tires even better.

When I went to install the part I discovered that the box had already been opened, on one end, and taped shut again. Unfortunately, the small parts bag, containing the new castle nut, cotter pin, zerk grease fitting, and rubber grease boot, was missing from the box. Since I had already removed the old part, this meant that I now had a vehicle I couldn't drive until I had a replacement. Not having the luxury of waiting for one, I went to a local parts store, bought a "universal" grease boot, and reused the old castle nut and grease fitting. Fortunately, I had an assortment of cotter pins and was able to use one of those. It's incredibly annoying to buy a new part only to find out all the parts aren't there. I understand that things happen sometimes, but it should be a "best" business practice to check any boxes that have been opened. This is one of the risks with purchasing online. Most of the time my experiences have been good. This however was not one of those times!

Disregard Peter Yoo's 1 star rating who obviously is unfamiliar with the high quality of moog parts. This tie rod, like all moog parts is simply the best money can buy when it comes to fair affordable cost. Sure, there are extremely high quality parts available for the hard core off roaders and rock crawlers by a brand such as Carly but for your average Jeep guy, moog can't be beat. Furthermore, this is simply the best price I could find on this tie rod both online and at the part store. Advance auto parts charges $260.00 for this same part which is a special order part and requires a wait time. 5 star rating all the way!
