I gifted this to a friend for her ukulele. She loved it. The wood looks very nice and she liked the rubber sides that protect her uke. She now has a designated space for her instrument with quick access.

The joints got loose really quickly. The front edges are a tad short to be comfortable leaving an acoustic on it for an extended period of time. It does fold up nicely, and it's light and padded.

I have started using these stands for my dreadnaught as well as 00 sized guitars, but also for my tubaphone banjo, especially for playing outdoors. I had been using violin stands for the banjos for years, and they still are OK, but these wooden stands are much more dependable for playing outside and seem sturdier. They are really not heavier than violin stands, which do not work whatsoever for guitars, and they are safer for a klutzy senior citizen like myself, especially when I playing a valuable 100 year old banjo. For the larger banjos and guitars, I have shifted to using them at home as well!

The second time I came to use this ‘guitar stand’ my electric guitar fell over, denting the back and head. The surface doesn’t create enough friction between the guitar and stand which caused the slip. This is a very unstable stand which doesn’t support the back sufficiently. I bought this stand because it was compact and light. It is, but didn’t work as advertised. Buy something more sturdy.

After months of my kid leaving her Taylor guitar perched at precarious angles all around her room, I finally decided to spend a few dollars to protect the cost of the instrument by at least getting it up off of the floor and onto a stand to keep it from falling over. With as many "near miss" falls the guitar has taken, I am sorry that I did not buy this stand sooner. It took seconds to set up, it looks good, and it does its job. Very sturdy, very solid, and a prefect fit for the Taylor youth guitar.
