I didn't notice that this was a 'boat hammock" when I ordered it, but what an interesting concept. I don't have the kind of high tow bar that is required to use this on my boat, but have been using it on trees like my other hammocks. It's a little higher priced than my other hammocks, but it does seems to be a little higher in quality, but not that much. If you are just looking for a hammock to casually use in your back yard, at the cabin or while camping, I'm not sure if this is your best bet. There are other much more affordable options that work just as well. If you are looking for something a little better quality, and don't mind paying the higher price, then maybe this one is for you, but to be perfectly honest, I'm not exactly sure what benefit you get for the extra price.

We use it mostly in our backyard on a standard hammock stand. It's been great and much easier to get in and out of than the wide, stationary hammocks. Packs up well for easy storage during storms that we get often in Florida, too.

This is a very good hammock made from high quality nylon material. It stuffs down very compactly and can be carried around because it’s so lightweight. I’ve been using it strung between trees and on a hammock stand. Not sure what makes it so expensive… as there are cheaper versions that are nearly indistinguishable. Is it because it’s designed for a boat? Regardless… you’re getting a very good high quality hammock with all the pieces you need to hang it.

Admittedly I did not get this for a boat, but for general lazy lounging around in the yard. I'm 6'4" and this is just WAAAAYYYYY too short for me to use comfortably. I have an older, bigger hammock that is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I thought this might be a nice replacement. And it is, in many ways. It is solidly constructed of quality materials, all well-stitched. It is a superior piece of manufacture, but it is really toooo short for anyone taller than 5 feet.

I love hammocks but never thought I would have one that is so easy to put up, take down, pack up and take somewhere else. My husband and I actually tried the hammock in our yard first and after seeing how easy it was to put up and take down, we ended up taking it to a park with us. Actually, we made a special trip just to use the hammock. While we were there so many people walked up and asked us where we got the hammock and of course, we told them. And when they learned the price they were shocked. It really is a great day anytime I get to swing in my hammock and I love that I have even learned how to put it up without my husband's help. The first time I felt how light the hammock was all wrapped up I thought, how is this actually going to be a hammock I like? It felt like there was nothing to this thing. The more and more I see on Amazon, product wise, I am amazed at what they can do. And this product was one of those that amazed me, along with being one I use to relax- which is always something I am in need of. Relaxation and the ease of transport are probably the two best benefits of this hammock over any others. And you can't beat the price too.

Typically when we anchor up we just float around on spring floats or wear life jackets and I never really seen a need for one of these. Well now I wish I would’ve bought one sooner! Fits perfect between the ski/wakeboard tower. Everyone was fighting over who got to use it next. Even when we were docked up there was a butt in it non stop. High quality parachute material and it folds up into itself more or less. Perfect for the glove box of the boat and definitely comes in handy.

This is very versatile. It will work just as well for camping or your backyard. It is so simple to put up & down. It comes with carabiners already attached. Material is great....it packs very well in the storage bag. No complaints at all. Can see why this would be great on a boat tower.

I was a little worried when i got this because it is intended to hang on a boat but i used it camping and hung between two trees and it worked just as well. It may not be as durable as others would be so maybe i would not trust it for hardcore camp but it also needs the additional straps and carabiners to properly hang from the trees if you dont intend to hang it on a boat but otherwise it works just as well and was comfortable to boot. packs up small and easy to take or pack.
