Sipping just 9 Watts of electricity, these LED bulbs can run all year for less than 2 dollars! Easy to install and worry-free product with nearly zero heat output, no mercury, and emitting no UV. Up to 10X Longer life than standard bulbs. Red and Blue Spectrum light Promotes Plant Growth and Photosynthesis. Chemical-Free indoor growing is perfect for many different environments such as: small Kitchen Herb Gardens, Apartments with limited sunlight, Basement Fruit/Vegetable Gardens. Anywhere you want to Grow!. Images shown are for packaging and display purposes only. They are representative of the species or genus of plants that may be grown with artificial LED Light. Results vary by many factors and artificial lights do not fully replace light from the sun. 2-Watt NASA Designed Grow Lite, Type R, 120VAC LED Light Bulb. Standard E27, Medium, Grow Lite Bulb. All the energy savings of any green alternative avoiding all the things you don't like in others. This light is for growing and fruiting plants - a perfect application would be for a kitchen herb garden. Instant on, no heat, and without the heavy-metal Mercury . LED lights do not produce any ultraviolet light, making them a better choice for homes that house expensive artwork and furnishings that can become damaged by UV rays over time. One LED light bulb can outlast 30 incandescent bulbs. LED lights operate at lower temperatures than halogen and incandescent lights. The latest in LED system electronics, thermal management, and mechanical and optical design, making the advantages of LED lighting a practical reality. LED light bulbs will eventually be what we use to replace incandescent bulbs - Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs) are a temporary solution to energy-efficient lighting. The reason LEDs have not yet displaced CFLs from the market are twofold: the first generation LED bulbs had a narrow and focused light beam, and the up-front costs of the LED bulbs are higher than incandescent or Compact Fluorescent Lights. The "sticker shock" of the new LEDs remains a deterrent to their widespread acceptance by consumers. However when LED bulbs are compared with CFLs and incandescent for overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness this deterrent should vanish. When considering the number of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs needed for the lifespan of the LED, along with the energy used during that lifespan, your savings will be exponential over your purchase price.

Perfect lighting substitute for a cloudy day. Energy efficiency and great quality. Performs well for my plants. Love the size works with standard lamps. Too pricey though.

Not a great product, great for starting plants for a few weeks, but plants show signs of not getting the right wavelength of light

So far my plants seem to be loving these lights. I have them shining on a palm and a cycad in my window to give them some supplementary light through the dark winter months. I've had these lights for about 2 weeks and the palm is already putting up a new frond (which is something I've never seen it do indoors).I can't speak for the longevity of the lights, but the plants certainly seem to appreciate them.

I had hoped that this lamp would last at least a year, being as I barely use it during the summer but unfortunately that did not happen. I guess I was in denial of the negative reviews, but now see that they were correct. The lamp was a waste of money, and a normal bulb would have probably last longer. Please don't buy this bulb, due to the fact that it will not last.

My plant seems to like it. I use this at work and it is funny. People always tease me that I'm growing pot in my cube. It is barely enough for my one small plant though in terms of light output. I have to put it very close to the plant but that is ok but this thing doesn't get very hot at all.

I have this light installed in one of those articulating desk lamps and have it positioned directly over my "resurrection plant" (a fairly small plant, aka "dinosaur plant") with the bulb maybe 8 inches above it. I have it on a timer and between the light and the plant food, the plant has made a dramatic turn around and gone from brown to a deep dark green within a month or so and has started to sprout new fronds or leaves (or whatever those things are!)

I bought this bulb for my tray of seed starters. Works great! You can tell the seedlings are responding well (they are all leaning in the direction of the light). That said the only thing I don't like is the beam is a little to focused. Meaning I would like it to cover a little more area. My 72 cell starter is only about a little less then half way covered with one light. But I would say it is pretty good for the price.

was looking for an efficient greenlight bulb for my terarrium as my apt doesn't get adequate light in the winter. didn't realize this light was purple until I received it. I usually keep it on when i'm gone for the day so it doesn't matter - but when I'm home its not the prettiest light in the apt. it is energy efficient which is nice, and my succulents are surviving with it (small buds are even growing) so i'm satisfied for now.

I bought this light bulb for the small live plant in my 1 gallon Betta bowl. the bowl is on my desk and not in an area where sunlight can reach, as it heats up the water too much for my fish. the plant was withering-- after one day (about 6 hours) with this bulb shining in from the side using a clamp-on desk lamp, the plant has grown and become more green! this bulb does not increase the water temperature, which is a bonus.

I've been working on an indoor garden w/ a baseline of variety of plants & since my apt. doesn't face South I've been making do w/ the little sunlight that comes in. Hence I chose to get these grow lights. I'm not sure what anybody else means about these not being bright enough but there is always a way around issues like that. I got small portable lamps w/ can-like tunnel openings that can channel the light directly onto the plant (s) you want for just under 13 dollars. This helps maximize the amount of light emitted from these LED garden bulbs by way of channeling. Plus, the 2 wattage is great for the electric bill. I'm happy w/ thees light bulbs. The seller always comes through w/ terrific results. If you're starting out w/ an indoor garden then these are the light bulbs for you.
