Everything you need to pre-clean the leather, apply the product and buff afterwards is all included. I gave this a test on some leather boots I have. Interestingly it didn't list boots on the box but the website talks almost exclusively about using it on boots. I imagine it should be fine on pretty much all leather except raw or patent leather. It gave my boots a nice shine and softened up the outer surface as well. I guess its like moisturizer for your leather, like living skin it does dry out over time and needs moisture replenished or it will crack. This is a good defence against drying out.

I found a pair of vintage leather boots, that have been sitting in my storage since the early 2000's.I used this mink oil blend salve, and the crazy horse leather sucked it right up.The listing picture makes the horse hair bush look bigger than it is, but as you can see from my photos, the brush is on the smaller side, but still gets the job done!I like that it doesn't have a scent, and that it absorbs quickly into the leather, so I assume the beeswax content is now as high as the mink oil.Great value, and the set even came in a box, so you can easily gift it to someone who likes to take care of their leather goods.

Shined up my burgundy and black boots really nicely. Im thinking about adding this on top of the water protection layer of my Timbs. Works great.

This item was recommended by my son to soften my husband’s leather boots. It did a good job so we tried it on a 20 year old leather sofa, which we were considering replacing. It did a wonderful job on all the cracking, worn leather and our sofa now looks good for another 2 decades. The product is odor free and very easy to use.

Up until now my son has used a leather conditioner on his cowboy boots as it does not darken the leather. But he thought he would give some mink oil a try as he had used a friends once before. This kit arrives with all you need in order to refresh your boots or other leather product with a stiff brush for cleaning the item first, making sure all the dirt, dust and grim is off of it. There is a sponge that you can put your fingers through to keep it in place as you rub in the oil and also included is a soft buffing towel to use once the oil has absorbed.Ingredients listed on the box are a bit more explanatory than what is on the website, altho still vague. The box states that there is mink oil, lanolin, beeswax, essential oils, glycerin, and water. This seems a bit clearer than the website that states: Made from pure natural ingredients, our mink oil contains Mink Oil (15%), Beeswax (15%), Lanolin (5%), Maintenance Oil (40%). I like how the website lets you know the percentage of how much of each item is in the product, but the maintenance oil at the end is a descriptive term, not a factual statement of what is actually in the product. Unfortunately, the actual product is not very clear either as essential oils is also descriptive but not factual on what the actual oil is as this can cover a very large amount of products. This makes the product seem a bit sketchy too me.The oil itself is a white colour, thick like a balm/wax and is clear as soon as you wipe it on. It goes on easily and buffs out nicely. There is no odour to the product. This product definitely does make your leather darker. I asked my son to take a picture to compare one boot to the other to show the difference of the darkness … but he forgot 🤦♀️ and was done both before I came around to see how it was going. He was actually a bit disappointed on how dark it made the boots since his boots are normally more a of darker tan colour and now they are a dark brown colour. At this time the product does appear to work well, at this time it hasn’t been long enough to be able to say how long the product works and how often it should be reapplied. Generally, my son redoes his boots every 6-8 weeks. The photo included of the boots is not taken just after they have been oiled, but after several days of wear – so they don’t have a nice buffed look in this photo. This photo is more to show the darkness of the boot using this oil. I cropped a the boots out of a photo I could find from before they were oiled to show the difference in colour.

I use mink oil to maintain my steel toe leather work boots. I like that it came with the soft brush to clean my boots, and the applicator pad. This mink oil will last years even applying mink oil to my boots on a monthly basis.after applying, the leather was visibly more supple and more water resistant.Be warned, it will darken the leather, which isn't a concern for my workboots or winter boots but my wife would probably be less pleased to see her tan blundstones turned dark brown

Oh, this stuff is so wonderful. I definitely recommend it. It really helped to restore and bring life/hydration back to my leather boots and I also used it on my leather seats in my vehicle.

I got this so when I'm hiking through the snow my hiking boots do not soak through. It seems to be waterproof so I expect good results the next time I get out in the snow.

I've been using mink oil and similar products to waterproof my leather ski gloves and boots for our cold Canadian winters. Easy to apply with the included sponge. Best to apply to clean leather. This mink oil spreads on nicely to leather surfaces and you can buff it in. I usually leave it to dry overnight and by next day it's ready for use. No smells and has natural clear color, and doesn't feel sticky the next day after drying. The kit comes with a buffing cloth, brush and sponge.

This mink oil is AMAZING! It brought my leather clogs back to life. I will apply it to my baseball glove next. Plus, the accessories are very helpful.

I have a leather belt that's 37 years old, is well worn, and has never been conditioned, as shown in my photos. This mink oil is super easy to apply. I actually found it much easier to apply with my bare hands, and the warmth from my hands was enough to melt the wax. Massaging the leather with my wax coated hands helped the leather absorb it more evenly. For the condition of my belt, I ended up applying 2 coats, since after the first coat, some of the dryness was showing through again.Overall, I am really happy with how easy this mink oil was to use and am thrilled with the results.
