I bought this backpack after much comparison on Amazon to use for Pickleball. You really can't beat this for the price.Pros - Will fit 3-4 paddles inside the main compartment in a section against the back, I think it is designed for a laptop but it's a perfect spot for you paddles as they won't flop around or bang against other gear. - Front compartment is mesh and designed for a basketball but this is where I put knee sleeves and tennis elbow straps (i.e. moist/sweaty things that I don't want inside the main zippered compartment. - Side compartment is somewhat insulated. I use this for sun screen, tape, grips, etc. Things that the heat may affect (melt, make sticky, etc). - The other size has a open mesh pocket. You can put a small (- There is a small top zippered pocket that is lined with cloth. It fits my cell phone and wallet. Probably not big enough for a woman's clutch purse. - The front has a pocket that can be used for thing that you need easy access to. I put my keys in there. - The main compartment is big. Enough room for your paddles, towel, extra shirt, socks, balls, flip flops, etc. There is also some small open pockets inside the main compartment where I put sunglasses and things I want to be able to easily find. - Outside there are 2 straps (to compress the backpack) but I use these to hang hats from. There are also 2 D-rings that I attach caribeener clips to and hang my shoes (tied together at the laces) or small water bottles from.Cons: - I wish the top pocket that I use for cell phone and wallet were a little bigger. - The backpack straps that go over your shoulders are connected to each other (before they connect to the backpack) so where they connect is a little uncomfortable as it hits between my shoulder blades instead of allowing the backpack to sit flat against my back. If you were using this to hike all day it would be a deal breaker but just to wear from the car to the courts and back is not a big deal.Overall, if you buy this for pickleball you won't be disappointed.

What I was looking for: A gym bag that I could wear as a backpack while riding my bicycle to and from the gym. It also needed space to fit at least a basketball and a pair of high-top basketball shoes.Enter the MIER basketball backpack. The basketball cage makes it easy to load and unload a basketball and the door is netted so everyone can see your pretty basketball. I use it for a size 7 basketball (29.5 inches) but who I am to say what you should use it for. Maybe you want to use it for a 3-pound bag of Cara Cara navel oranges. There are four outer pockets—three of which have zippers and one is an open mesh pocket. This provides more than enough space for me to carry my phone, multiple sets of keys, a wallet, glasses case, portable charger and multiple water bottles/travel mugs. Having said that, the mesh pocket alone is big enough for multiple drink containers or one large drink container. I use it for a 24-ounce water bottle and could probably fit another bottle in there. However, on two separate occasions, my water bottle fell out. One time I bent over with the backpack on so that was understandable. The other time it just jumped out while I was standing upright. It was empty and I didn’t hit my bag against anything so I’m not sure what kind of drama was going on between the water bottle and pocket but it hasn't happened again. Also, there is a top pocket with a velvet-ish lining. I suppose you could store a pair of eyeglasses or phone in there but I haven’t used that pocket yet.The main compartment has a laptop sleeve and a tablet sleeve. Though, the only things I store in this area are a pair basketball shoes and a bike lock. With a basketball in the cage, my shoes slide to the sides in the main compartment. Leaves storage space for other items if needed. Some other bonus points are the fact that it stands up when set down and the back padding makes it comfortable to wear on bicycle rides. I haven't tried commuting with it in the rain (yet) to see how water resistant it is but as far basketball backpacks go, this backpack is a solid five stars. Not a gaseous five stars.
