As anyone who works with tools knows. The right tool for the job makes life easier. It’s a bit pricey for me, as I’m probably just going to use it this one time, but this time was important and it worked flawlessly. 5 stars because my motor is running great and compressing the springs was the easiest part of this fix.

Tool works fantastic on the L83 heads, run the 2 locating bolts in finger tight, the tool down with a 13mm ratchet wrench and I had a head stripped down in less than 10 minutes.The only gripe I have, and worth 1 star to me, is you'd think for $120+ they could at least include some kind of case for it. A ziplock bag is not a great storage solution for a tool that relies on multiple small parts that are easy to lose, even the $28 LS tool I have came with a plastic snap close case.

At first I was a little annoyed at the cost of this especially compared to an LS compressor. But if you are not aware, the valves and rocker pads on an LT are not flat. So there was a decent amount of engineering that went into making this and it functions very well. This is not something you are going to make out of scrap metal you have laying around and expect it to work well.The tool was pretty easy to use although I don't envy anyone trying to do this on the car. Keeping track of 4 keepers during installation/removal seems like a real pain. I'd recommend doing this with the heads off at all possible.

Fast set up fixture, add air to the cylinder to keep the valve up and makes doing seals or springs easy.
