Headline basically says it all. GM LS3 heads are soft aluminum so you need deep thread penetration to insure the rocker arms, torqued at 22 to 28 Ft. Lbs. hold and do not fibrate out. If your installing a shaft roller then know that these are too short and will strip the top threads of the post as you tighten down the shaft. Even when rotating each cylinder to TDC to release the spring pressure when torquing you will find the that additional 5mm is needed. I decided to go back to the OEM length (longer) bolts until my ARP studs arrive. Hope this helps and saves you from having to either Heli-Coil, Time Sert, etc. damaged threads.
