The Signs of Bad Tie Rod Ends
- Uneven tire wear, often from misalignment

How to Replace / Install Tie Rod Ends
- Lift the vehicle & ensure it's secured
- Remove the wheel to access
- Use a tie rod removal tool to detach the old tie rod end
- Install the new tie rod end and check alignment after installation

Tie Rod End Maintenance Tips
For a complete installation, consider a complete front suspension kit with all the necessary parts like sway bar links, control arms & bushings.

I installed these myself along with the ever failing Ford Escape stabilizer bars, and i tightened the nuts with a beefy impact wrench. I tightened the heck out of them. They were still making clanking sounds, so I took them to a garage, where they had to further tighten them. My impact wrench tightened the lugnuts tight enough but not a tie rod end? The bushings and the nut bolt connection were smaller. Otherwise though, they worked. Unfortunately, something else is loose, so back to the drawing board.. My last ford ever. NEVER AGAIN.
