I've been exceptionally happy with Metolius Super Chalk when climbing both indoors and out. As someone with moderately sweaty hands, I don't get too bad but have really appreciated both the price point and great grip/drying capabilities Metolius has developed in their Super Chalk. While you may get a better bang for your buck with a different brand, I've found this chalk to be the best of both worlds - great value and not nearly as expensive (*cough*) or overpriced as Friction Labs. You can't go wrong with picking up a bag of Metolius chalk!

Ordered the big bag to refill my bucket for the quarantine wall. Super Chalk is decent; good balance between gritty and powdery. I like to cut it with cheap block chalk for indoor sessions, and with unicorn dust or finer chalk for try-hards.

It's standard metolius chalk. If you don't know what metolius chalk is like: It's slightly blocky and very dry. Nothing else to it.

Das Chalk lässt kaum Wünsche offen.ich nutze es sowohl zum bouldern als auch zum klettern in der Halle.Es haftet gut an den Fingern. Andere Chalks haben meine Hände gefühlt schneller austrocken lassen und waren nicht so ergibig wie dieses hier.lediglich der Beutel ist etwas unhandlich wenn man kleinere Chalkbeutel befüllen will.

Gutes Magnesium, welches die Hände schön trocken hält und sich auch gut verteilen lässt. Es sind aber zum Teil noch relativ große Brocken in der Verpackung, so dass man hier Vorarbeit leisten muss und sie entweder mit Hilfe eines z.B. Hammers oder eines Siebes zerkleinern bzw. verfeinern muss.

Great chalk, doesn't leave your hands greasy. I think it's particularly good for route climbing. When I'm doing hard bouldering I thoroughly wash my hands first and use rubbing alcohol to degrease my fingers. This chalk is a great match to keeping my fingers dry and my skin tough.

I mean, chalk is chalk, there isn't much difference between any that you're gonna find, but, as a guy with sweaty palms, this stuff works very well for me. I use mine for rock climbing, but it could just as well be used for gymnastics or weightlifting.The resealable bag is also very nice. It keeps the chalk from absorbing the moisture in the room, and thus it stays dry as a bone. Friends who have used my chalk remarked on how it feels so much drier than theirs.

I can't say that I've had much experience with chalk, this being the second bag I've had to buy. That being said, the Super Chalk is far better than the bag that comes with the Black Diamond harness package. It is a very fine chalk that absorbs moisture quickly, usually I only need a little bit at a time to keep my hands dry.
