I was very disappointed to go to three hardware stores looking for an item like this and there was nothing. So thankful to find/order. The price is great. My other option was a small lockable mailbox which were almost twice the price. This is easy to put up, easy to lock and unlock. I may not use this in a highly public unsecure location but if you need someyhing for clients to run by and drop of payments to collect later, this fits the bill. Its just right. Sometimes you dont want frills and fancy - you just want something easy to use and this is it. Aesthetically it looks fine and doesnt stand out in any bad way.

We are the HOA President and Treasurer. Our HOA has an single annual payment due in the first two months of the year. Since we all live close, we like to give our neighbors the ability to drop the payment off, rather than having to mail it. We had a flimsy Plexiglas box last year. It didn't hold up well. We went with this box this year and we're glad we did.First of all - we had to customize it. We wanted to make sure folks could spot the drop box so we use a bit of Orange Glow spray paint and it is easy to spot. We then printed colorful lables to make it clear that this was for HOA dues. We mounted it to a wooden post on our porch.Thas has been great. Very secure - someone could probably pry it open but they'd have to work pretty hard to accomplish that. We keep the key just inside our door and we check it a few times day. We've received a few positive comments. The box looks nice and functions well.

I'm using this as a money collection box for my coffee station and it's perfect for that! The slot is just the right size for paper money to easily go in. I found it a bit weird to come with 3 screws and 3 keys; but they do advertise that in the pictures. The reason for it is that it has a "key-hole" slot in the top, and then two round holes towards the bottom (the actual bottom has two round holes as well). I wound up using the two bottom holes as they matched up to the existing holes in the cabinet I mounted it to. I then used a "Command" strip to secure the top of the box. It's plenty secure, and to be honest this box would only stop an "honest thief" anyway.The box itself is constructed of a decent gauge metal, and paint seems durable. Despite some installation woes, the paint never scratched or flaked. One thing to note, is that the key must remain in the lock while the box is open/unlocked. You can only remove the key once the box is locked.

We picked this up to use as a receptacle for receipts that are dropped off after office hours and it works fine. The metal is thick enough to hold up well and the paint job looks first rate. It definitely checks all the boxes for us.

I have a small home business, and sometimes have customers who want to pick their item up from my porch. I'd been having them leave payment in an envelope on my door, but this lock box will be soooo much more secure! It comes with 3 keys and the mounting hardware. The top has a slot for inserting payments or other things such as raffle tickets, donations, suggestions, ballots, etc. The box is metal, and is very well-made, with a nice paint job. Five stars from me!

We needed a small comment box for the foyer at my studio. I am so happy I ordered this for that purpose!It's compact, but not too small to hold quite a few (3"x5) comment cards. It's constructed of a sturdy steel and the door closes flush with the front surface. I love that it came with three keys, allowing me to keep one in my office, one on my keychain and one on the master set of keys.I was also delighted to find that the color is actually a soft ivory, rather than stark white.I've affixed it to the wall with wood screws into a stud. I don't think it's going anywhere!I definitely recommend this box if you need a small, secure way to collect money or information.
