This rip guide does what I expect it to do. It fairly keeps the saw on track for a reasonably accurate cut.

It fits the rip fence tabs in my Hitachi Saw case.My only disappointment is the price.

The guide fits the Hitachi saw perfectly. Included sprung nut ( bolt, screw ) to hold guide in place fit correctly. Good addition to saw. Would be better if it was a bit longer but fine all the same.

I bought this to go with my Metabo circular saw. I used this to rip some Trex decking instead of setting up and using the table saw. It allowed for a nice clean, straight cut. Can't have a circular saw without having a rip guide available.

Our local schools are online-only for a few months due to the coronavirus. Having dedicated work spaces is better for learning and noise levels but we didn't have enough desks. I was able to use this to rip off the rounded edges on some deck board cutoffs. Having a square edge allows the boards to meet and create smooth top surface. The end of the cut is not guided so if I were to do it again, I'd measure an extra 6 inches to allow for cutting off the non-perfect edge.

Nothing special, in fact I have working as a carpenter for 50 years and have purchased several circular saws over that time period and this is the first time buying a circular saw that did not come with a rip guide, found it unusual. I like the saw itself and find Hitachi tools to be of good quality.

Does exactly as it is supposed to do, guide the saw down the board. Works great, too bad it does not fit the indent in the hard case made for the circular saw. Also customer service is non existent, I emailed Ryobi to let them know and get the spring for the lock screw was missing, and never got a response period. I went to the hardware store and found a spring that would work. The spring is necessary to keep the lock screw from vibrating out of the saw while not using the guide.I purchased a Ryobi circular saw at the same time, the saw is great worked flawlessly, The products are great, just don't expect a response from Ryobi.

I got this to help cut 1 1/4 inch off of a 4 1/4 inch baseboard. It worked well and provided for a pretty straight line all things considered. It is strong and holds well along the material you are using as a guide. There is already a retention space in the factory saw case for it too which is really nice for storage. The only cons in my book are that the slot it slides into on the saw base is a fixed angle which I'm not entirely sure is square. Additionally the end that rides along the material was not square to the shaft. I had to put it in a bench vise and bend it to eye square. One thing it looks like you could do since there are 2 holes in the guide end is attach a longer squared strip or 2 vertical strips etc. It probably should have come with the saw but I understand they can't include every bell and whistle and keep things affordable. For the price and the fact that there is already a space in the case this accessory is a must have for anybody with a compatible saw model.
