These are very good socks but they are not "Smartwool thin." If your looking for a medium thickness sock, I would recommend these.

Loved that these socks kept my feet warm while in Alaska but weren't thick and bulky. Comfortable with boots, or tennis shoes. Exactly what I was looking for.

Finding merino socks thin enough to fit in my hiking boots has been a challenge. These socks are perfect! Merino wool, well made and comfortable. Did not bunch up in shoes or boots and were not too thick as to cause the shoes/boots to fit small. Will be buying more pairs.

These socks are super soft and keep your feet smelling fresh for hours. My husband loves them, they’re brilliant for long walks or hiking. They are not thick, so won’t keep you warm in a very cold weather, but they are perfect for UK winter. These socks are 85% merino wool and reasonably priced - I do recommend them.

These socks are warm and cool when you wear them. I wear them both winter and summer. They wash well and are a great weight. The price is good for the quality. This brand is my go to socks.

If your foot is at the upper end of the listed size range, consider the next larger size.

I bought these for a trip to Europe this fall. Merino wool is the perfect travel material. It is temperature regulating and not weighty, so easily packs. These are not quite as thin as a dress sock, but not a heavy hiking sock either. I bought the larger women's size for my 9.5 shoes size and they are not overly long. i probably could have gotten away with the regular women's size.Well made and I am sure they will be perfect for the chilly mornings and evenings we expect in late November in Italy.

These are not a SmartWool alternative. Sizing is small and generally a tight fir compared to other Merin wool socks.

These socks offer an exceptional level of comfort, ensuring a snug fit without any annoying rolling down during wear. The thoughtful design provides a feeling of added padding on the sole, creating a luxurious and cushioned experience. The sock's construction strikes the perfect balance, ensuring it's not overly tight around the leg while still providing a secure and comfortable fit. Overall, a stellar combination of comfort and thoughtful design makes these socks a top-notch choice for anyone seeking a premium and enjoyable wearing experience.

I have been buying and using all brands of socks. 90% of brands tend to put an unusual amount of tension around my calfs causing circulation issues if i wear them for hours. Over those hours when using other brands i don't feel the aforementioned problem but when i go to pull down those socks that is where i see the sock lines on my skin and i also feel a load of pressure release and comfort return i didn't know i was missing. Yikes! This socks, however, so far at least, does not have this problem. Although i do see some lines on my skin caused by the socks it is very mild and i feel 0 discomfort all day long. Even when taking the socks off i no longer feel any extra comfort from them being removed, unlike other brands. So it appears this manufacturer has a better understanding how to make proper socks. Good on them.

This is weird. This is the exact same product I acquired by the same seller, but marketed differently. In both cases, the photos does not match the product, but in both cases, the product is amazing. So here was my past reviews copy-pasted, since it's the same product...I recently got my hands (or should I say feet) on these excellent socks, and they've quickly become my go-to for chilly days and outdoor adventures. Crafted with a blend of 85% merino wool, nylon, and spandex, these socks are a true testament to quality and comfort.I can confidently say they stand among the best socks I've owned. They not only stayed up without slipping down but also cushioned remarkably well despite their thin profile. The merino wool lends a luxurious feel, and I appreciate the thoughtful design, with reinforced stitching at the heels for durability and a comfortable toe seam.I appreciate the fit-to-size accuracy, and after five hours of wear, I can vouch for their comfort and seemingly great quality. While they might not be as rugged as some other brands, the price reflects this accordingly. As for longevity, I'll update my review if there are any changes over time. The elastic around the calf area feels less constricting compared to similar socks, providing a comfortable fit. My hope is that this elasticity holds up over time, as it feels just right at the moment. In summary, these socks are a premium choice for comfort and softness, making them suitable for various occasions, from hiking to dressier shoes. While the price may be a bit high for some, the quality, craftsmanship, and overall feel justify the investment for those who prioritize comfort and performance.
