Not suitable for Canadian winters. Not a heavy, thick winter coat. No shape, wrinkles & sits weirdly on body. Tried 2 different sizes. Disappointed as I usually always enjoy Columbia gear.

Initial thoughts when unpacking is how poor the quality of the exterior jacket is. The material is pretty much paper thin and feels like a cheap plastic tarp. Its not form fitting at all and is so thin it really doesn't do much besides repel water. The interior is the fleece jacket (separates from jacket) and is a pretty standard Colombia fleece. There really isn't anything special about it.For the price of about $300 USD you are better off getting the North Face TriClimate jacket. The quality is actually noticeable and keeps you warm. I have used this jacket now for about a week in 30-40 degree weather. Does not keep me warm at all, the OmniHeat lining does nothing as it is also paperthin. So two paperthin materials and a standard fleece jacket is what you're paying for. Pretty disappointed after seeing such good reviews. The jacket is definitely not as advertised by Colombia as wearable in "extreme" weather.

Standard well made Columbia jacket. Fit is normal and sized properly. Warm and protects from the rain.

Bought this for my hubby. It does not have the secure inside pocket shown and the hood just pushes all the way down between the wind breaker and the liner. Took me a while to figure that out because all of our other jackets roll the hood and secure under it.Look very nice, thinner than expected. Hopefully it will be warmer than his other jacket.
