It's a pretty simple piece, seems like it could have been about a 1/8" longer.

The specs for this item say the shaft is 9.5". The box had the right part # but not the right part inside.The shaft I received is only 7.5".The description for this item says it is 9.5 but it says the package it is shipped in is only 8.25" .HOW DOES THAT WORK??
