Your cart is empty.The Meinl Headliner Series djembe is our most simple to tune wood djembe. Includes a tuning wrench to make quick adjustments or head changes. Tighten the steel tension rods for a higher pitch and loosen to drop pitch (djembe comes pre-tuned). You can adjust the head right away if it slips out of tune. Tension rods let you change pitch much faster and easier than traditional Mali weave rope runners—and with no learning curve. The hefty shells are made of 100% hardwood staves with uniform color and grain for classic warm djembe tone; the finish is NOT a glued-on veneer made to look like real wood. Equipped with a natural goat skin rawhide head for powerful, deep lows and sharp highs. The body has a slim hour glass shape so it's more comfortable to hold steady between your legs, and the bottom edge is lined to protect from scratches. BY THE NUMBERS: hardwood shell measures 12 1/2" wide x 25 1/4" tall and weighs about 13.8 lbs; goat skin head measures 12 1/2". Designed in Germany.

Ein schönes Instrument, das auch wie ein echtes Instrument aussieht. Stimmbar. Das Fell ist (leicht) auszutauschen, der Klang voll, Handhabung und Spielweise angenehm (wie im Promotionfilm)

Strumento veramente ottimo, ha soddisfatto appieno le mie aspettative. Suono molto caldo grazie al fusto in legno e alla pelle naturale, con bassi profondi e slap tagliente e armonico. Molto utile e semplice anche ľ accordatura a proprio piacimento.

Not a single log carving string-tuned djembe but a barrel-glued mechanically-tuned "djembe" nonetheless. I won't weigh into the debate but I can say it performs and is easy to maintain that performance. Highly recommended.

Ottimo suono, ottimo strumento, buona qualità, buon imballaggio .. Peccato solo che la chiave per accordare lo djembe fosse volante nella scatola e il sacchetto che la doveva contenere fosse rotto. Mi fa pensare che fosse mantenuto male e probabilmente ha sbattuto contro il prodotto durante la consegna.Consiglio comunque, ad una cifra di 130€ non si può trovare di meglio

Looks lovely I have it in my living room for decor, looks thats nice, beautiful deep tone, fantastic buy!Update:I just had to come back to applaud this beautiful drum, I've spent two weeks tuning my 10" wooden Meinl Djembe which is sweet, but this one is the mother of sweet, I just love the fact that you can get so many tones from this drum, its so easy on the hands, the slightest tap gives you the sound you're aiming for, I can't recommend this enough for anyone looking to play West African style percussion.I'll be uploading a video review as soon as I can get round to it.
