I put this on a kids specialized hotrock 24 mountain bike with 8 speeds. replaced the grip/twist shifter. also needed to get new grips at the same time. works great with the stock derailler

In the past it was difficult to find Shimano Diore components. It was nice to see the original equipment products available as repair parts. Arrived as promised and it works perfectly.

Like other reviewers, I had to replace a hard to shift Revo shifter. Two things I discovered, plan to fiddle with adjustments as the cable gets stretched and plan on installing a different, longer hand grip. Once the cable was seated, it shifted through all the gears smoothly. The original grip was too short due to the Revo being about 2 inches wide. Placing the shifter on the opposite side of the brake lever left a gap. Third, I forgot to grease the cable before threading it.

The quick shifter works with my derailer, I tried to align it and it was so so, I took it to a shop and for 30 bucks it shifts amazing now. Definitely worth it.
