I like this pattern. It’s a nice size and goes together easily once you cut it out. This size pattern uses 1/2” plywood not 3/4” so it’s a lot lighter to handle. I only have two complaints. Instead just using a little more paper and giving you full complete patterns they make you cut pieces out and tape them together on match lines. And on one part you have have to double up the carbon paper when your trace one part so the second piece of carbon paper makes a reverse image of that part on the back of the plan. You then trace that one on another piece of wood. One more piece of paper and you would not have to do any of that. It’s not like they aren’t charging enough. You can use the plans more then once but after cutting them up they are hard to fold up and store.

This was my first attempt with a woodworking pattern for a project this large. Made separate templates for the star and brace so I could cut apart the other pieces. The picture makes it look like the manger is set in front of Mary & Joseph but the pattern has it all on one piece. I have leftover 4x4 piece of plywood so I may construct a separate manger and freelance the edges of Joseph and Mary behind it. Will have to add more stakes if I do so. I used 3/4" plywood which is really heavy. I may try 1/2" if I make another. Overall I am pretty excited about it - a gift for our daughter and family.

Whether you're a beginner or not, The Winfield Collection Medium Silent Night Nativity Wood Pattern is easy to cut out with a scroll saw. The pattern is easy to understand and to layout. The Silent Night Nativity Wood Pattern is easy to assemble. The parts fit together much like a jigsaw. The Nativity is lovely painted white with a light shining on it but, don't limit yourself to keeping the Nativity to resemble the photo. It's also lovely decorated with Christmas lights or painted in colors. It's even pretty with a Christmas greeting or religious script on it too. (see photo).You're definitely going to enjoy cutting and assembling The Winfield Collection Medium Silent Night Nativity Wood Pattern. Simply layout your pattern on any thickness of plywood, follow the lines with your saw (Jig saw, hand saw, reciprocating saw etc.), sand and paint. Your neighborhood will absolutely enjoy seeing this Nativity set in your front yard.The Winfield Collection has fast shipping and your parcel is well packaged to guard against moister or bending by the shipper. The actual pattern has dark lines and large print for anyone to read. The paper should be thicker. I'm guessing that the paper is 20 pound weight similar to typing paper. We have solutely love the final results of our nativity scene. The only drawback is that the paper is a bit cumbersome to move around from position to position on the plywood in order to transfer the stencil. In my opinion, it would have been a lot easier had the stencils been made to fit each particular piece of plywood without removing the stencil.
