The inner thread of the rod was very flimsy and could not accept threaded coupling to join them. The other end of rod was just as flimsy.

Worked as hanging rod for a sputnick style ceiling light, but other reviewers are correct in the criticism of the threading on the inside not being long enough for the length of the connectors (didn't matter for my project, I didn't need to join the rods)
