NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL ! The first one I bought had a bad LED screen, they wouldn't swap it, no warranty offered. It took 8 hours of computer searching just to find the seller who told me to go stick it. Even with 2 of these installed there is no way to tell if I have them set correctly BECAUSE THERE IS NO PRODUCT SUPPORT WHAT SO EVER and Amazon wouldn't know a electrical circuit from a circuit city.

Works as described. Fast shipping. My solar system has never been better. Instructions are not the greatest, but install is so easy that I did not even need the instructions.

I had bought this charge controller 5 years ago and it was great then. Needed another one because I didn't have my cabin grounded and it shorted out in a lightening storm. This new one has the same features that are easy to read and understand on the back-lit display panel. The only difference is that the new model has vents on the front. It's easy to set up, but the manual doesn't have a trouble-shooting section.

The description when I purchased this item on Feb 27, 2020 was: MPPT Solar Charge Controller, OOYCYOO 60amp Solar Panel Charging Battery Regulator 60A 12V/24V Auto Work, with LCD Display Max 100V, 780W/1560W Input for Lead-Acid Battery, with Load Timer SettingThe description of this item as of Jul 4, 2021 is: OOYCYOO MPPT Charge Controller 40 amp, 12V 24V Auto 40A Solar Panel Charge Regulator, Max 100V Input with LCD Display for Lead-Acid Sealed Gel AGM Flooded Lithium Battery (MPPT-40A)The 60 amp version is no longer available for sale on this particular page. The max amp output for my 12V system that I have seen thus far was only 36 amps (in direct sunlight with no clouds). My solar panels are supposed to be able to generate 53 amps at 14V. (Which is why I purchased the 60 amp version.)The manual that came with the item is translated from Chinese and difficult to understand in English.I am not sure why I am not getting over 40 amps. The SOLAR MPPT unit I have looks identical to the pictures on this product. How do I know which version of this item I actually received?

I'll start with the positives - the 60A/100V version of this product is a true MPPT controller! At the price, it's the cheapest on the market and I had high hopes given the positive reviews from other customers. Now the reason for the 1-star review: The passive cooling system is not nearly enough to keep the device cool under load, so it quickly heats up as it charges and freezes up. You can reset the device by disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries then cross your fingers for the next time it crashes, but this is a multiple times a day affair.I was not even approaching the maximum amp or voltage ratings before the controller crashed and proved itself to be subpar. If you're dependent on your solar power working, please do yourself a favor and get more robust option. You might be able to add your own active cooling and make this a reliable unit, but for the time and cost, I'd say you're better off with a Renogy or MidNite charge controller.

Not like I've tried a ton of charge controllers, but I've probably messed with about 6 or 7. I plugged this guy in and the lil fans started whirring, and i hoped they wouldn't do that constantly, but I think that was just a wake up thing. I doubt I'll juice this enough for them to come back on. It doesn't warm up with about 300W from solar coming in at least. The clear cover is actually kind cool, wish more products were like that, why not. The screen shows all of the monitoring details i need to know and makes sense. It also doesn't lag, I've seen some that lag when touch a button for like a second or 2. Every time I'm like, I KNOW the sun is on the panel. Then it changes.... It comes with a really long temperature sensor you plug into the bottom left. The cord is like 30 ft. long (or so). Don't really know why that's needed, but whatever. I don't think i can change it from Celsius, which is a bummer. The LEAST of my worries. So far it seems really efficient and powerful. My fav Charge Controller! I'll try and update if anything changes during use.

while trying esmart, and other mppt controllers, they are pretty fancy, but have failures. Until this unit, nothing worked right. Now this is a basic unit, and has not much for bells and whistles, but it works all the time, every time. I have hammered on both units and they keep on ticking. Would be nice to have the remote LCD, but for now just setup a network PTZ cam to view the screen. It has only a bulk charge, so every once in a while, i'll just bump the voltage setting to equalize for the day. I am just happy it does not act like an esmart where it needs a reset to start all the time. This unit just starts right away, even at super low voltages from the PV.

I got this controller to upgrade from a 30A MPPT controller and to avoid going to a 24volt battery setup. This was not easy to install because I had to rewire my 700 watts of panels to get down below the 48volts, ending up with 42 volts open circuit. After that i switch back a few times to test this 60A controller in the same conditions as the old 30A controller and it would not pull in as much power. Most of the time this controller would stay below 200watts where the old 30A would pull 390watts (its max (72volts x 5 amps over the wires). But after putting more panels on, for a total of 930 watts of panels this 60A controller does jump up to pulling 800 to 900 watts from the panels, when conditions are good. So it seems the MPPT controller either runs below 200 watts or jumps to over 600 watts, not a smooth curve that i am used to. And when it is running on full power it is pulling around 32 closed circuit volts at 27 amps! so my 10 gauge wire is pretty warm. I have about 100' of wire to my panels, i would recommend this system only to setups with much shorter runs of solar cable due to the low operating voltage.

The charge controller is pretty good. Works fine, easy to set up, decent controls. But they sell no serial adapter device that connects for phone monitoring. Their customer service was useless, and they kept showing me other charge controllers and not the serial adapter that i requested. All the other charge controllers have this Capability, but this one does not as it was determined through mountains of texting that the company doesn't make one. At least for US. This is a good controller except it doesn't have an adapter for cell phone monitoring.
