Love the quality and appearance of the planters, only downside so far is that there is no drain to remove excess water. We have had an unusual amount of rain in the last week and my plants are dying, floating in water, and the front side of the plastic is bulging out. I have a Keter raised planter which has a water saver feature, but it also has a drain on the side (like a cooler drain plug) that you can open to keep your plants from drowning. Im going to have to drill a hole in the side to allow some drainage.

I’ve had my eye on these boxes for two years and finally took the plunge. I wish I did it sooner! They are gorgeous, classy, and add the right touch to improve a home’s appearance. I will be changing out the contents with each season. Highly recommend

This is great and relatively easy to install. The only thing I don't like about it is having to drill the water filling hole myself. I don't have a big enough drill bit so I tried to do it by making a larger and larger hole with a smaller drill bit and it ended up a disaster so now I can't plug it with the cover and I have an ugly hole in my otherwise beautiful window box. It seems like it would have been extraordinarily easy for them to just add this to the production. Otherwise, no complaints - good directions, including videos online, and the self-watering has worked well.

We've been having terrible rainstorms here in NY and my boxes took a hit. One flooded so bad it became a balloon. You may be thinking why am I giving them a 5 star review, well... the box returned back into shape after I cleared the excess drainage hole. I called customer service to ask how can I prevent them and they answered after the first ring. THERE WAS NO AUTOMATED SYSTEM!!! What a delight. The rep on the phone answered and solved it for me. She recommended some landscape fabric over the hole to prevent clogging, but she also recommended drilling a hole 3" above the bottom to allow more drainage in it happens again. Of course this hole should be in a place where you can't see it. Worth every dime

These boxes are great!For those that say the plastic is cheap or warped... My boxes (I ordered 5) were all somewhat bowed inward )( on the sides, but I do not personally think the plastic seems cheap, and the bowed shape (likely a side-effect of the mold and curing process) does not detract from the aesthetics much.Pros:- Fairly easy to install- Very durable installation (these are going to stay in place if you install them correctly; no wind is going to knock them out of place, and they will be very difficult to steal)- Attractive design- Great system for water retention AND drainageCons:- Installation is time-consuming; may take additional materials if you're installing into siding (per enclosed directions)- Installation into the facade of an old, brick rowhome was a challenge - I needed specialty masonry anchorsRecommendations:- If you're serious about using window boxes, these are a great buy. Durable. Well-built. Great features for managing water. They'll last a long time. There are simpler, more affordable options out there, but they lack the features, durability, and reliable installation of these boxes.- Use crushed water bottles in the bottom of the box to limit excess weight from soil, and to help with assist the drainage / retention features of these boxes.
