I recently broke the pilot drill installing a lockset and forgot about it. Next time I went to the hardware I told the guy what I was looking for - in the Milwaukee holesaw display no less - and he said they didn't have any.Maybe they did and maybe they didn't, but I get tired of clerks to butt in to not help, so I left. Ordered this on Amazon, and it's a perfect fit. Bonus - it comes with a spare AND a storage tube, so I printed a label and put it in the drawer for my kids to inherit because I doubt I'll need it. But it's there if I do.

I snap pilot bits for my hole saws from time to time and this set does the job. They have a flat spot on the shank to run the set screw into to prevent twisting and are sharp enough for the wood working that I do. All in all I'm satisfied.

Perfect fit for the mandrel I use for my larger hole saws. Appears to be made with quality steel and shouldn’t bend like the one I once got with the HF mandrel.
