The pouch is sturdy cordura as described, stitching seems decent quality on first impression. Comes with a UTX latch at the top for attachment to a strap or a vertical belt loop as well as a single row of PALS/MOLLE webbing on the back to fit onto your belt or pack. Bilateral drawstrings with rope buckles on the backside to cinch the pouch shut when full. Drainage port at the bottom incase of leaks. To roll it back up you fold the bottom up once and collapse the wings inward on top of that, then roll it all upwards into the Velcro strap for retention. Made in Vietnam so it’s not an American made product. Can fit a 1L (~34oz) bottle of water OR up to 3 x 30rd 5.56 mags (any less than that and I would have returned it). I just used a multipurpose MOLLE buckle to attach mine to my belt and it’s secured fine with no wiggle; it only needs a single loop (3 available). I have several Maxpedition products, I’ve yet to be disappointed.Pictures shared to show size comparisons, build quality, attachment setup and utility / configuration.TL;DRPros:Sturdy corduraEasy attachment optionsFits snug, collapses to a very small areaPrice: worth what I paid ($22), but I would not pay more than thatCons:Can only hold a 3 mag dump vs 4-5 with competitorsMade in Vietnam (-1 star)Overall: 4/5 stars

Love Maxpedition gear, and this is no exception. With a little bit of force, I can get a GSI cup in the bottom of this and a 40 Oz SS Kleen Kanteen. Rolls up to just about nothing.

This a nice little peice of gear.... I bought it to go with my EDC Fatboy Viersipack... I bought the S type which does not have the water bottle holder... I wanted the s type cause the jumbo with the water bottle pocket looks really bulky and too tactical for every day carry... The Siamese clip works great... I didn't even have to buy any Molly clips I just buckled it to the webbing on one of the front fields of the bag... The rollie Polly rolls up and stores out of the way perfectly ... If I ever need to hike it on foot from work or somewhere a ways out from my house I can just unroll it and attach my Nalgene and go... This product is well made out of the same awesome maxpedition material... The uses are endless... Make shift small dump pouch for magazines or gathering tender around a camp site... Etc.... The price was good and it shipped and arrived next day.... Maxpedition is the best gear around ... Just about everything I've ever bought from maxpedition serves so many different functions... It's really bomb proof material...

So I made the decision to purchase another mini rollypoly dump pouch. I bought one at a local store and loved it so much I wanted another.I purchased the original one to hold a Guyot Designs 32oz SS bottle straight to my pack and it does its job very well. The bottle is a bit too short, but the bottle has a loop to grab from the top, so it's all good. I decided to purchase a second one with the intent of keeping one on my hiking belt with all my other bat-gear. The one I purchased from Amazon will be used as a tinder pouch, since it has a drawstring top to the pouch. If you use it for this purpose, you should know it has a small drainage grommet on the bottom so there's a slim chance you could get your tinder wet if you get caught in the rain. However, the material seems thick and substantial enough to bead most water off. Probably give it a coat of waterproofing and call it a day.The best part about these pouches is the roll-up feature. When it's not in use, you can roll it up into a nice, compact bump on your pack. No bulky pouches to catch on mesquite branches and whatnot. Best way to compare it, when it's rolled up, it's about the diameter of a standard baseball, I can almost wrap my fingers completely around it. Hope that helps some of you with your decision, I know I don't regret my purchase at all.

First off, this pouch is Maxpediton quality, meaning you can run through a patch of thorn bushes and this item won't be damaged at all.Lots of attachment options are available, including a MOLLE-compatible clip, the built-in belt loop so you can run your belt through it, and the included Siamese SlikClip (the plastic piece at the top in the picture). It folds up when not in use to lower its profile. You can fit a 32oz Nalgene water bottle in it with no problems. If you're the type who likes to go out in the woods and collect things, this pouch is good for holding what you find. If you like to go to the range, you can wear this on your belt and throw loose brass in it or carry extra magazines. You can also use it to put trash in if you're in a place where you don't have easy access to a trash bin and don't want to litter.

I got this recently, tested it out. It is durable material that feels like the Pygmy and Vulture packs, very solid. It rolls up compact, and you can run a belt through the back, use Tac-ties, or use the clip at the top to attach it to a pack. It holds a 1L Nalgene bottle easily as well. The price seems a bit steep but it feels built to last.Other water bottle holders I've tried and like are the Condor water bottle holder and the 5.11 Tactical water bottle holder. Maxpedition should take some hints from Condor and 5.11 regarding their attachment straps/ties. Those companies have sturdy, stiff cordura straps with a snap at the end. It is WAY EASIER to use than those stupid Tac-Ties are. Way easier. Actually the 5.11 strips pull out even easier if you want to remove a pouch or holder, so I give that company 5 stars for their excellent design.Another option similar to this rollypoly is the Condor dump pouch, but it is a bit bigger, likely similar to the Maxpedition "medium" size Rollypoly.
