MAXPEDITION Jumbo Versipack Waist Pack

This bag is much bigger than I expected it to be. However I love it. Have been using it literally since it arrived. But will definitely placing and order for the smaller version, the fat boy... for when I do not need all the extra room. This one has all the pockets and places galore to store..... and can definitely be filled to the brim with all your items needed for your adventures and daily outings. I have even packed my lunch in it for work along with what I carry for my "purse" and love cc carry to go with it all.

3 stars as the primary issue with this bag lies in the plastic buckles. When the buckle for the main compartment fails, attempts to repair it with epoxy are short-lived. Once the main buckle breaks, the pack becomes essentially unusable.This is particularly disappointing given the durability and longevity of the pack itself. However, the plastic buckles significantly undermine its overall reliability. A more robust solution would be to use lightweight aluminum buckles designed for longevity.

Bag is fine, no real complaints about it in particular. Arrived in yet another box way to big for the product. My only gripe is that the ONLY thing in the box, was the maxpedition itself. Wasn't in any kind of clear plastic bag from the manufacturer, no tags, no..... nothing. Just found it odd. But the bag will be fine for what I need it for, a get home bag for my car. Had one stolen at some point from my car that I loved! Company name stated with a v, probably all I can say. But this is comparable, different textures and thickness, things I'll have to get used to. But, I know maxpedition is quality stuff.

Great GO bag size...not too small like the regular sling bag style and not too bulky like the 2-3 day packs. Fits all the necessary things you would need and none of the overkill and extra weight. Has a carry strap and waist belt for keeping it secure. Stitching and material is pretty durable too. Overall...if you're looking for a bag that's light enough not to slow you down and versatile enough to hold your important gear then I highly recommend. One of my favorite bags so far

I use it on daily hikes with my family. Maxpedition is the best.

I was looking for an additional shoulder bag for work and sometimes on some hiking trips but I couldn't find where I lived. I decided to just buy one online on Amazon and this was just perfect.

I bought a similar bag a decade ago that lasted me a good 5 years. Since then I have been trying to find an inexpensive bag in the same configuration. Well I burned through 2 $30 bags in last 4 years. I got this Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack and could not be happier. I expect to get a good 10 out of this. Super heavyduty without being that hard plastic feel some heavier nylon gets. Great bag, worth the price.

This beast did its job. It’s big: s&w shield fit beautiful, large Nalgene bottle in the side. Apple, trail mix, raincoat all fit easily. We hiked a 13 mile hike up a mountain with 3000 foot elevation gain. No problem. Only thing I wish is that it had more places to clip things (bear spray) and that the padded shoulder piece was longer as I had to adjust this a few times depending on how I had it slung.

This is my second Maxpedition bag. My first is a Gearslinger Monsoon that I've had for eleven years, now, with virtually no issues. I was in the market for something smaller and more out of the way, and this popped up in my search.I love this bag. It's stiff, almost too stiff, and based on my previous experience with Maxpedition gear, it will take probably a year of daily use to break in and soften, and that means an incredibly long wearing product. The main inner compartment has a water resistant rain fly that can be tucked inside when not needed, and the rear firearm compartment holds my Sig P229 and a spare mag, thanks to the Maxpedition Sneak retention holster.The water bottle pouch on the left holds a 32 ounce bottle, like the ones that are made by that brand beginning with N, as well as smaller bike/sport water bottles thanks to two types of retention. There's a cinch cord holder, as well as a removable fold over velcro strap holder.All the compartments and pockets have pockets in them. There's so much functional storage, you'd probably be able to watch your kids grow up and off to college before you list it all.This is the best small bag, for all the gear anyone could need for a day out.

Als ich die Tasche zum ersten Mal sah war ich schon vom Design begeistert. Abgeschreckt haben mich jedoch die Rezensionen, und auch der Preis, sodass ich lange herumüberlegen musste, bist ich sie mit schlussendlich gekauft habe. Ich hab sie in Wolf Grau geholt, denn so ist sie günstiger, die Farben gefallen mir besser, sie ist unauffällig und so perfekt fürs EDC. Die Lieferung dauerte etwa 2 Wochen (Import aus Amerika, also nichts zu meckern) und ich konnte es kaum abwarten. Als ich sie endlich in Händen hielt war ich direkt begeistert von der Qualität. Ich hab zuvor keine Tasche in diesem Preissegment gekauft, und es hat mich fasziniert.Auf alle Fälle hab ich sie direkt in Gebrauch genommen, und schreibe diese Rezension jetzt nachdem ich sie schon eine ganze Weile benutze. Ich hab den Maxpedition wirklich immer dabei sobald ich die Wohnung verlasse, und er war schon strömendem Regen und der Übernachtung im Wald ausgesetzt.Ich möchte vorweg noch sagen dass mein EDC wirklich sehr weitläufig ist, weil ich oft spontan Dinge unternehme, wie in den Park gehen und mir da einen Tee kochen oder so. Der genaue Inhalt ist hier unwichtig, wichtig ist nur dass ich den Maxpedition beinahe vollgepackt habe, wodurch ich etwa 5,9 Kilo Gewicht hab. Da sind auch 1 Liter Wasser und 3 Energiebomben mit drin.Ich habe mir die Rezensionen hier und auf Youtube oft und intensiv verinnerlicht, und es gibt ein paar Punkte denen ich widersprechen muss.-Es wurde gesagt dass der Bauchgurt vom Maxpedition nur was für schlanke Menschen ist. Dem kann ich nicht zustimmen. Ich bin selbst recht füllig, und ich kann ihn ohne Probleme nutzen.-Es wurde gesagt dass der Maxpedition schlackert wenn er nicht mit dem Bauchgurt fixiert ist, sofern man ihn vollpackt. Dem kann ich auch nicht zustimmen. Da kommt es einfach ganz darauf an wie effizient und geordnet man packt. Ich spiele da quasi Tetris, aber so dass alles relevante sofort erreichbar ist.-Es wurde gesagt dass die Tasche nicht Wasserdicht ist. Ich habe diese Tasche nun eine ganze Weile, und sie hat jeden Regen super überstanden. Dennoch habe ich zur Sicherheit relevante Objekte die trocken bleiben müssen in kleine Tütchen verpackt, aber selbst wenn, ich hab sie einmal gewaschen, und sie trockner extrem schnell.-Es wurde gesagt die Tasche schließt nicht richtig wenn sie vollgestopft ist. Das stimmt nur, wenn man alles einfach hineinwirft und kein System hat. Packt man intelligent dann lappt der Deckel sogar etwas über, was gut vor Regen schützt.Nun die Kritikpunkte denen ich zustimmen kann.-Die Hebelasche an der Tasche ist nicht sehr griffig und könnte stabiler und griffiger konzipiert sein.-Die kleinen Meshnetze im Inneren haben leider keinen Gummizug und sind sehr eng geschnitten. Wären sie weiter und mit Gummizug, dann könnte man noch etwas besser organisieren.-Die Tasche ist sehr steif, was mir persönlich gefällt, aber was wohl einigen aufstößt. Ich denke sie muss so sein, denn so ist man in der Lage alles auch ohne Organizer wirklich gut zu ordnen, ohne dass es gleich durcheinander fliegt.-Der kleine Klickhaken ist hinten, und das ist etwas umständlich. Eine Fixierung vorne am Riemen wäre aber nicht möglich, es sei denn man kehrt es um und bastelt den Clip zur Riemeneinstellung hinten ran.-Es wurde gesagt dass die Farbe schnell rausgeht und die Tasche rasch abgenutzt aussieht. Das stimmt. Ich finde es gut, ich mag diesen Used Look, und finde dass eine solche Tasche eben für den Gebrauch bestimmt ist. Aber da hat jeder seine eigene Meinung.-Das vordere Klappenfach ist sehr klein. Dem kann ich ebenso zustimmen. Ich habe da ein Ladekabel und einen USB Stecker drin, dazu eine Packung Fisherman's Friends, und es ist wirklich sehr knapp bemessen.-Außerdem wurde gesagt dass das Schulterpolster zu lose am Gurt fixiert ist. Das stimmt und nervt etwas, aber man gewöhnt sich daran.Ich bin sehr froh darüber mir diese Tasche gekauft zu haben, ich hatte noch nie zuvor eine die sich so perfekt anpasst, und trotz knapp 6 Kilo Gewicht so gemütlich sitzt.Eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

OMG! OMG! OMG You guys... I love... Love... LOVE this thing!!! Absolutely awesome for EDC. There's a thousand videos of this on YouTube. It challenges even the best survival gurus!Durable? Check Versatile? Check CCW ability? Check Integrated water bottle holder? Check Organizational ability? CHECK CHECK! Apply a little geometry and some accessories and this is easily a 72hr bag. Get some quality gear and you are looking at indefinite survivability. It is completely modular for an urban environment and blends in well. I can fit this into my ILBE no problem and as an add on it becomes a force multiplier. The hard case versions are NOT better and give up a lot of what this bag has to offer. Don't hesitate... BUY IT!
