Much smaller than I thought.

Seemed like a pouch that had a lot or room and could be used for many purposes. Unfortunately, in my case, it was meant to be used to replace another one that I have but this one was too small for that.

I love Maxpedition products & wanted to swap this out with the FRP I had on a vest. This held everything I had in the FRP (both maxed out), while the AUP is a little shorter, it sticks out farther. I like the dividers/organization and the accordion pop out, but I went back to the FRP for my emergency med kit because I needed it closer to the body. I took a star off because the AUP uses smaller sized zipper teeth than the FRP. The zipper is no different than any other cheap molle pouch you can buy online for $10. These thin zippers catch & are harder to close when the pouch is full. They dont have the quality my other Max bags have. I ended up attaching this to the outside of my Max Storm bag for odds & ends.

I LOVE my AUP very much, kept in my everyday-carry (EDC) backpack all the time to include essential stuff, and used individually for short term activities not needing a backpack. I have also attached a matching color Tactical 1 or 2 point Multi Mission Quick Release Rifle Sling, as a shoulder strap to use as a small shoulder bag. Works great! For attaching Velco patches, I have woven through the front MOLLE/PALS webbing, 1 inch width Velcro USA One-Wrap Cable Ties Tape, bought in similar MIL-Spec color on eBay, which has Hook & Loop on opposite sides, keeping the Loop side on the outside to attach all sorts of patches. Hope this gives you a good idea on how to attach patches to any MOLLE/PALS webbing as well.

The best packs made out there in the market, I used this one for my first aid kit for me it is much more convenient than my maxpedition FRP pack which I purchased as well.

Fits perfectly on the side of my Kodiak bag. Great for holding my wallet, passport, phone, chargers, and other things as I bounce from airport to airport.

I bought this pack to replace a two pack combo: M-1 & FR-1. The packs were rotated between my belt and the main EDC bag. This bag frees up space in the main EDC bag. It is also more convenient on the belt, since there is only one bag to carry. (On the belt, it is situated as more of a drop leg pouch. The retentions straps are locked above the bottom two molle-like attachment points. Allowing the pack to sit below the belt.)The main pocket hold my personal medical supplies, while the front is used for a wallet, phone, and keys. This setup works great! Admittedly, it is a large bag for riding on a belt. It is sometimes easier to use two carabiners and connect each to a belt loop. Making it easier to remove the bag when needed. The zippers are smooth. The accordion design really helps with organizing odd shaped items. In many ways, it is similar to the M-5 waist pack, but with the following major differences: two D-rings for shoulder carry; an enclosed front pouch that secures with a zipper (quieter), instead of hook-n-loop; and a handle (which is very convenient).I would recommend this pouch to anyone looking at the M-5 who wants something a little less tactical.
