Meine alten Hochtouren-Schuhe waren durchgelatscht deshalb mussten neue her.

I used this boots for the sole purpose to Mountaineer and summit 5600meter mountains. The terrain was a combination of volcanic rocks, valleys, heavy snow, glaciers, and muddy volcanic sand. The lowest weather condition was 10 degrees F at the peak to 40 degrees F at base. The boots are very well made. They are solid hard and provide great protection and insulation against very rough weather. They also attach to crampons very well and comfortable to walk with. I was highly impressed how well they tolerate high rock impact as you’re climbing up and down the mountain. During my expedition I suffered no blisters nor damage to my feet other than their Goretex technology disappointing.I feel this boots make great casual climbs under 5,000m mountain. Also, they do well with light to average snow. I was highly disappointed in their goretex water proofing because my socks were wet by the end of both summits. At first I thought it was a boot defect causing water to enter my left foot. However on the second summit my left foot was still wet from the journey. So I am unsure if it’s a left boot defect or they just can’t handle heavy terrain. I would recommend for low summits with moderate terrain conditions. If they’re able to fix there goretex technology it would make an outstanding alpine boots.

Ten stars!!! Not just best mountaineering boots, but these are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Incredible fit! They felt great out of the box, and got better as I walked. Lacing system works perfectly, locking off foot to cinch ankle tight. Crampons hold solidly, Waterproof, GREAT traction on snow and rock. Solid platforms, great for kicking steps in snow AND sensitive and secure on rock. I have suffered heel blisters w scarpa and la sportiva, sometimes turning my feet to hamburger! NO BLISTERS with these boots at all after long days of alpine climbing! These boots are AMAZING!!!!!
