About this item

  • This is the sled and strap used in the new Army Physical Fitness Testing - Includes Sled + Upper Body Strap
  • The magic carpet is small and portable weighing under 3 lbs.
  • Stack big weight on this sled if you are man enough as it can handle up to 500 lbs if you use hundred pound plates.
  • The magic carpet sled with sled strap is perfect for use on turf, gym mats, or even grass. Just make sure to keep it off of rough textured surfaces like concrete, asphalt, etc.

The Spud Inc. Magic Carpet Sled is a heavy-duty weight sled designed for maximum portability and when used with the upper body strap it is the perfect combo to do backwards sled drags. At less than 4 pounds, it’s considerably lighter than a traditional metal dragging sled, but gives up nothing in weight capacity—able to take on more than 600 pounds in steel plates. Use the Magic Carpet Sled on grass, Astroturf, carpet, or in any gym or training space with rubber or tile flooring. If it’s a non-abrasive surface, you’re good to go. When your weighted sled training is complete, simply roll up the Magic Carpet Sled and drop it back in your gym bag. For athletes at any level, this is a convenient, effective way to build the posterior chain and metabolic conditioning with one movement. Important: The Magic Carpet Sled should not be used on concrete, asphalt, or any rough textured surface. Speed sled training on such surfaces can cause irreparable damage to the sled.

Double the price an item like this should be.

Though it says so in the item description, this is NOT the same mat used for the Sprint, Drag, Carry. Mat color is awesome & it appears to be a nice, durable quality, but unfortunately the strap on this is one that would be secured around your waist & pulled (NOT the hand loops that would be needed for SDC). For the price paid, it was not worth cutting off the strap on here & replacing with the correct hand loop type. I had to return this & order from another site to get the item I was looking for. Luckily Amazon makes returns easy, so that part was nice.

I paid for this one because it clearly said in the title it included the upper body straps but when it arrived it was just the sled....no straps. I should have bought the cheaper one for $40 less that said it didn't include the straps and I would have gotten the same thing and saved $40.

Works very well. I use this in the local gym to practice for ACFT Sprint Drag Carry event. Weights are secured and do not slide off the nylon sled.

Man, why does nylon cost so much? Is it because the Army decides that it needed a new PT exam?

There’s no reason some nylon should cost over $200. Someone is taking advantage of the fact that Soldiers are trying to get ready for this ACFT and inflating the hell out of the price!!
