In the past, I've had bad luck with the Shimano crank bolt either missing or the threads stripping from the bolt. I wanted to see if this aluminum crank bolt plug would be more durable. So far, it has held up quite well and hasn't backed out of the crank arm. I also haven't had an issue with threads stripping out yet. This seems to be a well-machined bolt and I'm quite happy with my purchase.

I like that this is aluminum and fits in where my plastic one had been stripped. It’s an important item for adjusting bottom bracket preload correctly on the crankset. It fit well, looks nice, should be durable so I am very pleased with it and would recommend it over competing products.

Worked great with my FC MT610. My original crank fixing bolt (FC-M582) likely fell off without me noticing at some point. This replaces the original plastic one with a nice aluminum crank fixing bolt that is easy to install with a hex wrench instead of Shimano's specific tool
