The package this arrives in will have you wondering what you got yourself into – it is big – until you get everything out. Once you get the parts, instructions, and cases out the system becomes a bit easier to understand. The base – a smaller stabilizing plate – sits flush to the floor and then the rest you assemble based on how high your ceiling is. I cannot say this enough, find a flat surface with a joist in it when you place the ceiling plate and make sure it is level. The installation is easier with each time, but after a few “wobbly” experiences you learn to test it, hard, before using it. The manufacturing – bars, bearings, and cases – are over all well done. The major note from me – besides it being a bit difficult to stabilize at times – are the spot welds on the top plate. As with anything that is going to carry your weight you will want to check every piece each time you assemble and disassemble for fatigue points. Based on price and performance I can say that I’d recommend this as an entry price unit for anyone considering pole exercise routines.

Pole arrives disassembled in a large, thick, cardboard box - careful bringing it inside, it's a bit heavy!Instructions are inside the box under the large top plate and are easy to follow.Do not be dismayed at the lack of permanent mounting options because that pressure mount WILL hold this pole in place and you WILL be able to leap at it and spin around. Even though the ad says there are drilling options, we could not figure that part out - Onward!!I was concerned, thought perhaps there is no way a pressure mount will hold a dance pole in place but oh yes, it does!There is a wonderful rubber type ring around the inside of the top mount plate that protects your ceiling.We put the pole in the garage just for more room and her long legs to have enough space when doing splits.Pole height is adjustable and at first, there was a bit of disappointment thinking the pole was too short or too long (with small extension piece added) but.... that threaded top piece extends quite a bit and the pole cover will hide it if you extend it upward enough.Tool included has hex key on one end with Phillips head screwdriver on other. The screws are all Phillips head, tool was used to put cover in place at top of pole and at the base, the same tool is used to put the pole in static or spin. She likes spin mode.Okay, here we go, the pole is mounted with an eight and one half foot ceiling and the girl is eyeing it up. "It isn't brass" she says with a frown."Just try it." I coax.She puts her hand on it, says "It's the same size I'm used to" then pulls herself up. Oh the smile that spread on her face! She was THRILLED to have her own pole!!She gave it some tugs from all sides and it did not budge, did not move at all. So she jumped at it, wrapped herself around and climbed, smiling and laughing the entire time.Came back down, we hit the lights, put on the music and. ....I HIGHLY recommend this pole for anyone interested in pole fitness or if you happen to have yourself a dancer ....She offered one photo for this review. Trust me when I say she is happy, she is OH SO HAPPY!!!!

I got this because I'd always heard that pole dancing was fantastic exercise and strength training, but never had the opportunity to learn. This is very well made, with clear instructions on how to assemble the pole and any tools needed included. This is Very sturdy! I was worried about how sturdy it would be since it is easily removeable, but currently my weight hovers around 180 pounds and this has no problems at all holding up my weight, even when all of my weight is on it. It doesn't even budge.This is held in place like a tension pole, just very securely. As long as you tighten this well, you should have no issues with it moving with you at all. You'll probably need a ladder to tighten the upper part of the pole, but otherwise I was able to assemble this alone no problem, and even relocated it with minimal effort!I highly recommend this pole thus far. Also, if you haven't done pole dancing before getting this, know that it is pretty hardcore exercise! It's very fun, but you will get bruises from the pole, and you do need to do warm up exercises before doing pole dancing. I found a lot of great tutorials online, and from what I've seen this pole preforms just as well as a permanently installed one!

My wife is a yoga instructor and is always looking for ways to increase her functional strength. Either that, or she's secretly training for a secondary career as an exotic dancer. Whatever her plans, she wanted me to order this for her so being a good husband I complied. She's been supplementing her yoga workouts with pole dancing and is really enjoying it.As for the pole itself, it's easy to install and feels very well made. Basically, you extend the pole until it fits securely between your floor and ceiling. She wanted to use it at her yoga studio but she has really high ceilings so I guess we'll need to get her one of the poles with a weighted base for that purpose. For most use cases, however, this is a great pole. Highly recommended!
