As a math teacher, I am always looking for 3D shapes for my classroom. These are perfect for a using with a document camera while teaching. You can demonstrate well the forms and functions of each shape. I like the net inside that can be pulled out to show surface area. As far as use by students, they are to expensive to have enough for one classroom, even if you work in groups.

These shapes do NOT match what you see. Every word on the box & instructions is in Chinese. Zero English instructions. The individual shapes are clear plastic. The color comes from paperboard inserts that you have to pop out, fold, and insert into the shapes which need to be glued shut (super glue will do) otherwise you will lose pieces. The colored inserts identify the shapes, but again ONLY in Chinese (you don't see this anywhere in the images included with the product listing). Our solution will be taping over the Chinese and writing in the shape names ourselves. You could also fill them with colored sand etc if you wanted. They are a hard brittle plastic so guaranteed if you drop them they will crack (one of our pieces is already cracked in the box.) You do get 2 sets (2 boxes) for the price which is reasonable. But this product listing is definitely misleading.
