i have used these particular boards before, with great success. they have long been discontinued, but they still work really well, and the current equivalent costs a fortune. i initially had a problem with these boards, and i even started the return process. while i was waiting for replacements, i managed to get these working, so i never followed through on the return. since i did get them working, and they are hard to get, i ordered two more, to have more spares around. i figure that once the supply runs out, there will be no more of these.

This is an enterprise-grade RAID adapter that is available at bargain prices. Yes, it's end of life, and probably no support, but you always can buy two at this price point. Battery backup unit is highly recommended for better write speeds and more reliability in general.

This controller card was purchased as a backup for another card that was installed and functioning fine in my computer. Since these cards are getting older I wanted a safety net just in case the original card failed. This was sold at a good price , packed carefully and delivered promptly.
