These were for my 9 year old daughter who is heavily into Mountain Biking. They replace a pair of generic girl's shorts that were lacking in the padding department. They are great, but too loose at the leg/thigh, which is strange, given that my daughter has some muscle-y legs on her.

I have ridden bikes for decades and I own many pairs of padded biking shorts. When my 8 yr old daughter complained of pain in the ole crotch area after a 4 mile ride, I knew exactly what to do... and yes, she told me it fixed the problem. These shorts are every bit as good as the name brand ones I have, and are better than a few nashbar pairs I have... Quality for sure, but its sometimes hard to justify price on these things when you have growing kids that are out of them so fast! lol

Definitely runs big. I’m 5’1” and 102 lbs. I normally am a XS in all woman’s clothing. The large girls was big. I’m a distance rider. I ride weekly long distances all year. I’ve worn the $120 LG women’s small for years. I have several pairs. I love the LG products. When I saw these, for the price, I thought I’d try them. I love the feel of this material for the girls. It’s smoother. So, I’ve already ordered the med. I’ll update the fit on the mediums. UPDATE: Mediums are perfect. 5 Stars!

As other people have said, they run large, at least in comparison to the chart, which is totally ridiculous but my daughter really likes them. More padding and feel higher quality than the Aerotech shorts she has previously worn. At the time that I bought them they had free returns so you can order multiple sizes to see which really fit. The smaller size ended up working for us but we decided to keep the larger too for the future.

The sizing for this item ran too large. We ordered for our 10 yr old daughter based on the size chart and they were huge on her, in fact they fit me at 5'4, 125#. Definitely not a junior size. The padding was uncomfortable for both of us.

Using the sizing chart provided, my 10 year old daughter should be wearing a large. It's not the case! I'm 5'3 and probably can fit into the shorts!

I'm not the market demographic for these shorts. I'm just a 5'2" very petite girl who couldn't find a pair of cycling shorts where the chamois was fitting in the right spot to save her life. After a few century gravel races and a 150 mile gravel race coming up, I knew I had to try something different. I purchased these shorts to wear for long races where chamois fit is key. I found the chamois to fit me much better than lady's sized cycling shorts (even XS). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because (as expected) the chamois is not as high quality as a woman's pair and doesn't ventilate as well. But honestly, after 148 miles of Nebraska gravel and wash board roads, I only cared how my bum "felt" and it felt okay! These shorts are longer than I usually wear. They will be my go-to long ride/race choice and the price was great!

Medium fits an 82lb, 4ft 7in athletic body type 9yr old girl who wears 10-12 size in girls. The LG chart for sizes for youth fitment going by hip and waist sizes is ridiculous. Call LG if in doubt, they have been helpful on 2 occasions for me. Padding and fit is great. My girl loves not having soreness on our 15+ miles rides now.
