My daughter absolutely LOVES these Cookeez products. They provide a fun and engaging way for kids to get interested in cooking and baking, while requiring them to use problem solving skills to “put the pieces together” and make their little stuffed animal appear. Candidly, I think enjoy the mixing, button pressing, and knob turning as much as she does half the time… Figuring out the steps needed to make the animal appear is simply fun!Additionally, the stuffed animals that come with the toy are of surprisingly good quality. The are well constructed and they come with internal scents that last for months (literally). I don’t know how they do it… but it really is incredible stuff! My daughter loves how soft and adorable the stuffed animals are when they finally reveal themselves… and all that for less than $20!Anytime we can find a deal on these Cookeez products, we snag them. We store them away for holidays and birthdays, and my daughter never grows tired of them. Fantastic stuff!

Honestly, I am a little let down by this latest Cookeez Makery plush. I have done all the previous Cookeez Makery toys so I'm going to end up comparing it to previous releases. It was at time of launch $19.99 - the same price the Cookeez Makery Pancake Treatz toy was when it launched. The plush in the Pancake Treatz toy had interactive features (made noise when pressed), this Lil Bakez has no interactivity, noise, nothing. It's just a plush with some beans in the bottom. The fabric used is different than all previous Cookeez plush - it's almost a sort of shiny fabric. The details of the plush are still fully printed on, there is no embroidery or extra detailing.The lack of any interactivity really brings this toy down. It's just a surprise plush hidden in a cardboard and plastic oven. After the reveal the oven will likely be recycled but it can be used as a prop for 18 inch dolls. I know this is a cheaper introductory price when compared to the original Oven (warming feature + noises) or Fridge (shivering + noises) set but the Pancake Treatz toy proved that they could deliver limited interactivity (noises) at the $20 price point. The plush is best compared to the Toaster (under $15) as it is a similar size with no electronic elements.The dough making portion of the toy didn't function for me. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, I've made Cookeez dough before for previous sets and didn't have any issues. The dough has a yeasty smell like actual dough. The reveal itself happens when you turn both knobs on the oven. There is no timer or count down like on previous toys. The plush just drops as soon as you turn that second knob.Plush is cute, as expected, and does have a nice scent as soon as it comes out of the package.

This toy was adorable!! Super easy...my 9yr old daughter was able to do the whole thing herself from start to finish by following the simple directions. I love that she was able to figure this out on her own. I also love that there's no batteries required. Just a simple great quality toy. We had a great time. I recommend!!

This is adorable! You mix the “dough” (to create a play dough), shape it on a mold, and pop it in the oven. After the timer goes off, you are rewarded with a warm stuffy that smells vaguely like baked goods. You could stop there and your your younger kids will think it was just magic if they don’t look any further into it or if they can’t read the instructions…or you can retrieve the dough from the bottom of the oven, stick the plushie back in and push the tray that drops down back up, and do the whole thing over again. The third option is the one we went with at first : retrieve the dough in secret, put a *different* stuffed animal in the top, and let child #2 in on the fun (without the warmth or scent). The kids will still have a little toy oven to play with and you’ll have a secret magic trick to use until they figure it out. what we actually did after the second plushie trick was show the birthday girl how it worked and let her do whatever she wants with it.It comes with a baggie to save the dough, so my daughter has chosen to bake herself a pet a few times now. Mostly to show her friends, because the magic wore off after the first time. Oh, but she especially likes that she can press down on her stuffy to make it warm again!

My daughter has played with other Cookeez Bakez Oven toys and loved them, so we decided to try the Cookeez Lil Bakez version. It looks like the others she’s had, but this one is smaller (Photo 1). The kit includes two ingredients, powder and sprinkles, along with a measuring cup (Photo 2). However, you’ll need to gather a few extra things such as a small bowl, water, and a spoon.To make the dough, your child will pour the powder into the bowl, use the included measuring cup to add water, and mix it all together. Then, they’ll knead the dough by hand and place it into the mold. The last step is adding sprinkles before putting it in the oven and turning the knobs (Photo 3).When it’s done, you get a unique, scented stuffed animal (Photo 4). She ended up getting a dog shaped like a donut (Photo 5). However, unlike the other versions, this one doesn’t have a timer, make noise, or let kids know when it's ready to open. It’s a simpler, more budget-friendly option.Cons -The sprinkles don’t stick well to the dough unless you press them in, which can make a bit of a mess. The toy doesn’t have a timer or sound effects like the others, so it’s not as interactive. Kids who are used to the other Cookeez toys may find this one less exciting, but the result is still the same, a cool designed stuff animal.

This is a fun toy. It is packaged perfectly for gifting, and it provides a nice surprise inside. There is a process for “baking” the plush toy before it is ready, adding to the fun of receiving this gift.
