Deer have been coming into my yard to drink and chew on old cow bones. I decided that they must be missing something in their diet so I bought this corn block along with an acorn block, persimmons block, and a sugar beet block. The first night they were very wary of all these new items in the yard. Now they just step over all of them to get to their bones and water. It’s been a week and other than an occasional sniff not a single mule deer has stuck his tongue out for any of these. I’ll upgrade my rating if they ever get used.The deer in the picture is munching on a rib bone.

I have this block near a well used run with a game camera and while I get pictures of deer every night and morning not a single one as licked, sniffed or paid any attention at all to this block. Save your money and DON"T buy this!!!!!

This apple block is a deer magnet. I have hundreds of cam photos of deer being drawn to this block. The block isn't something they chew on so much as it is just to take a lick or 2. Once a deer licks on the block, others will come in to sniff on it. After what is left after 6 month, which has dissolved into the ground, the deer are still coming to lick the earth and eating dirt. There is nothing but a 8" hole. And they are still drawn to it. I am ordering a new apple block to put in the hole that the deer have created. 4 deer were taken off this block last hunting season.

The product is fine. It gets four stars instead of five because it arrived cracked into several pieces with salt crumbling out. The packaging was inadequate for such a heavy, dense object - one layer of bubble wrap with air packs on each end in a post office medium box.
