The bushings at the eyes are thin nylon.Require a 9/16" bolt for no slack clearance.The trailer had 1/2" bolts, wrapped electrical tape to take up the clearance.Don't try brass bushings, they will deform.

Purchased a pair of these 2000 lb springs Aug. 31. Planned to install bronze bushings in these to replace the nylon that comes in them. No way. Apparently this Chinese factory wraps the eyes a little tighter than others. Can press a bronze bushing in, but it deforms to the point that the bolt won't pass thru. Never had this problem with other springs. Have always used a 9/16 i.d. by 11/16 o.d. bushing before. Guess I'll have to stay with the nylon for now. Maybe I'll try to ream the spring eye to 11/16.
