This item is a back up part to use when the original pump fails. Better to have a replacement part ready for use when an important part fails.

This product was incorrectly identified as a replacement pump for a platform sewer ejector system that it was too tall to fit into. On top of that after I paid 23.00 to ship back they charge me 188.00 restocking fee for pump I never removed from packaging. Quite a ripoff

It's a great pump. The last one lasted 15 years, this is an exact replacement - hooked up to the existing plumbing with no issues.
