The individual pieces look to be very well made, but the assembled unit is sub-par; not what I would expect from Lezyne. Once screwed into the C02 cartridge it immediately starts leaking air from the trigger; you have enough time to attach to your tube before the canister fully discharges, but you loose a good 10 - 15%. Also, if you do buy this, make sure and use something to insulate your finger(s) on the trigger mechanism. The provided sleeve works well for the canister itself, but the head/trigger also gets freezing, and will damage your digits.

I bought this to replace the one I lost. Very effective and easy to carry. So much better than a hand pump. Once the CO2 cartridge is fully screwed in place, it seals well on the tire valve and will inflate the tire completely. You’ll likely expend the cartridge on one tire, or close to anyway. Being that they are so small, it is easy to lose while riding your bicycle. But in a race, this is so much better than a pump, and as stated takes so much less room. Great product!

I tried this on my hybrid bike (700 x 28) and got good results with a single cartridge.Since this is my first time with a CO2 inflator, I found the instructions was a bit confusing as it indicated + & - with directional arrows to the left and right. I thought those meant turn the nozzle left or right to inflate or deflate. So the arrows mean to screw on & out -- which is very obvious with the design. How about a simple, "push to inflate"?Since it's very small, very handy and I always carry it during my long rides together with a manual one -- just in case.

This is a wonderful item to keep with you on those long bike treks that can be a lifesaver in the event of a tire problem. Compared to a conventional pump, it's way smaller and lighter to carry, and should you need it, it will have you on the road again in just a few seconds. It's a small, solid unit that looks like it would last forever. Machined nicely and precisely, it fits all of the tires I've tried it on easily and securely, operating without leaks or other problems. I've tried three brands of CO2 cartridges and they've all fit perfectly. As other reviewers point out, you need to watch the O-ring. Mine came out the first time I tested it...a thin coating of vaseline seems to have helped it seat better and it hasn't happened since. If you have aging, arthritic hands like mine, it's also a terrific way to inflate your tires without coming the aches and pains a conventional pump causes. You do need a fair bit of strength to operate the trigger, but for me it's easier than the grip and motion a conventional pump requires. I did find that the 16g CO2 cartridges are marginal...definitely recommend the larger 25g ones instead.

To be fair, I've only used this a couple of times to test it out and not in real life situations. I used two CO2 cartridges to test the unit out and both times the valve froze up and remained in the open position. I guess that's okay when you are filling your tires from a flat, but if you don't want to use the entire cartridge up, then this is a problem. I will keep it, but I'll probably also carry my 15 year old valve that has a threaded lock on it.

If this item was any smaller, I'd lose it in my bag. This is key when riding long distances where you need every inch of storaage for other gear. The space taken up by the Trigger Drive and 2 CO2 cartridges is less than an unwieldy pump. The Trigger Drive gets cold when used, due to the pressurized CO2, but not too cold to handle. I got a bit less than 30 lbs in a 1.25 MTB tire. That's enough to get home on, but 2 carts might be necessary for big-tire MTB riding. When you consider having to pump vigorously for about 10 minutes with a pump, I think I'll keep my Trigger Drive.
