Bought in June, send employees to jobsite to lift one end of a 500lb beam. switched the lever from lifting to lowering the load and the beam just dropped "freefall"we have several other brand chain hoists like this and this does not happen on the others, unless you pull out the circular hand turning knob

Believe e or not I used this tool for moving large landscape boulders in our yard uphill.Slow but steady and without heavy equipment and expense;)Had an issue with the tool and asked for a replacement.Dropped it off this morning at Kohl's and as unbelievable as it may sound a new one on my front porch this evening.Cannot get any better than that....Thanks
